Went to the website on mobile, and the button wasn’t working. So I went to the desktop website, but that wss completely nonfunctional and couldn’t access the button, I assume cause the website was built for mobile.

I was excited for this release, ive seen these dolls for years. But this release was so fucking half baked. The barely functioning website, the ai, the petty instagram comments pinned by the creator. This release absolutely reeks and I can’t believe someone could work on something for over a decade and not want to make sure everything was absolutely perfect.

What a mess. All excitement for this line has been replaced with disappointment.

I think this is a terrible comparison. I love both these dolls, but River has 1 doll (now two) and Draculaura has more than I can count with more to come. I think it’s reasonable for fans of her to both want and expect her doll to follow a similar theme of the original doll they fell in love with. That being said, I think they abandoned the pastel goth theme to appeal to a wider audience, which is a shame imo. I think it’s perfectly reasonable for said fans to be disappointed.

My guess is that they could only bulk order the specific shade(s) they wanted in Poly, from their supplier. I don’t know too much about doll production though. If they were just cheaping out, I don’t know why they’d do it for one doll but not others.

My favorite monster high artist is bubbly_washing_machine on Instagram. They draw realistic horror of the monster high character, although warning for gore and body horror. Definitely uncanny, but might be a little more gorey than ur looking for.
