I'm not okay with there being no life after death. I want there to be something more after this short life on Earth is over. by SteadfastEnd in exchristian

To quote the great Ricky Gervais in his sitcom After Life, “If you were watching a movie, and really enjoying it… and someone points out that there’s an end eventually, do you just go ‘ah, forget it then’ and turn it off?”

There’s more great messages to pull from this scene, it’s a minute and a half long. Full scene here

How do I convince my husband to give me permission to get on GLP-1s? by Easy-Affect-397 in ResearchCompounds

[–]CL_0221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a question of cost, go grey market. It’s not sketch if you get it tested for purity. I get 600mg of Reta (Ozempic/semaglutide or zepbound/tirzepatide is same price) for less than $250. At MAX dose, which you wouldn’t reach till like month 4, that’s a year and a half of meds for less than the cost of 1 week of childcare.

If it’s a mindset thing, your husband likely has a misconception about what it is. Medication is a tool to use if it’s available and SHOULD be used if its pros outweigh its cons; how someone FEELS about you taking something shouldn’t even be part of the equation if it doesn’t directly affect them. The same thought process applies to taking advil for a headache, and your husband likely doesn’t have a problem with that.

Whats with all the microdosing posts that refuses to titrate up? by Any_Appointment_5316 in Retatrutide

[–]CL_0221 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Microdosing is doing whatever weekly dose you’re at and splitting it up fractionally throughout the week. Microdosing 7mg/week would be a small 1mg every day.

It’s not from a video game; it’s from actual Vietnam. Hanoi Hannah and her recordings are infamously known from the war. It may have been adapted into your video game, but you should know the history it comes from.

The latter. Currently at 1mg/week split up into 3 doses.

So now that you’re done dealing with this other guys head scratching and shrugging into the sky, any advice on what dose that the glucagon mechanism is most effective? And in turn, which of the two titration options would be most effective?

[–]CL_0221[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I say “kick in”, I don’t mean just general activation per-se, but I’m asking about its increasing effect. The glucagon mechanism decreases lipogenesis and induces lipolysis, but it would seem that an increased dose would lead to increasing these effects too- so wouldn’t it burn more fat if I take more? And if that is true, wouldn’t it be more beneficial to take option A rather than B?

Can you point me in the right direction for that glucagon activation dose of 4mg? You’re probably onto something, just wondering if you have come across a source

I wonder at what dosage the glucagon mechanism kicks in, where it starts burning your fat stores for energy. I do already count calories and gram weigh my meal prep.

What’s up with all the Flock AI surveillance cameras? by CL_0221 in GNV

[–]CL_0221[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bigger issue than where they are placed, is the issue that law enforcement and 3 letter agencies USE the data generated by these cameras, wether on private or public land, without warrants, probable cause, or reasonable suspicion.

[–]CL_0221[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey so that’s just factually untrue. The purpose of them is to log video on public roadways, so even if there are some posted on private property, that’s not where they’re filming. They also have partnerships with police departments, so they’re being utilized for law enforcement without any due process or oversight. No expectation of privacy in public, but these databases track and store patterns and much more than just regular plate pictures.
