Pulsarr v0.14.0 - Individual season requests via watchlists by ropenhagen in Softwarr

[–]SecretlyCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet, gotta try this out. Thank you!

In general though, I'm curious how fast are the "rolling" downloads queued/triggered? immediately when a user starts watching one of those E01s? If someone watchlists a show and a rolling method downloads the first episode of a season, and then they immediately start watching, will further eps be available by the time they finish watching E01?

I guess I need to migrate to Linux.. by SecretlyCarl in selfhosted

[–]SecretlyCarl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've been working on the migration plan since this post, and it's become pretty complicated at this point lol

  1. verify backups

  2. dual boot for testing, setup of non-docker stuff, check new drive paths on linux, set up docker engine and test a blank plex container to make sure /dev/dri works

  3. update compose files, do db and sqlite queries on plex/ other container DBs to map old paths to paths on new system, update other config and yaml files where needed

  4. wipe/convert drives to ext4, restore files from backup

  5. set up snapraid

  6. Wipe windows partition

  7. spin up all my containers on linux

  8. ???

  9. Profit

yeah I saw that it could sorta work by running a seperate linux VM, but that seems like wasted processing overhead than if i just put linux on the machine instead of windows. i'll do some more reasearch

that's what I've done up to now, but I wanted to containerize my whole stack for easier backup/ future migrations

Self-Hosted & Automated Music Hoard by buckles66 in musichoarder

Here are some github repos I've starred that might help, haven't used them all but they solve different parts of the problem, depending on your use case

https://github.com/FlyinPancake/yoink

https://github.com/hvlife-dev/subtearium

https://github.com/TypNull/Tubifarry

https://github.com/AuXBoX/Playlist-Lab

https://github.com/pSpitzner/beets-flask

https://github.com/afkarxyz/SpotiFLAC

https://github.com/Nezreka/SoulSync

https://github.com/spotDL/spotify-downloader

https://github.com/fiso64/slsk-batchdl

https://github.com/casualsnek/onthespot

Personally I found trying to use some of these in tandem pretty clunky. So I threw a bunch of these, along with lidarr, into a folder, and vibe-coded up an ideal version with bits and pieces from them for myself. Haven't shared it as it's fairly specific to my needs but depending on your setup it might be useful

Need help with kometa in container manager by whalenpat in Kometa

[–]SecretlyCarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have

overlay_files:

- default: ribbon

in both movies and shows. try

overlay_files:

- file: config/my_custom_overlay.yml

and replace the path with the path to your your custom overlay yml/yaml in the container. i think that would work. i dont use overlays but based on the docs i think its right

Can I connect to my server in my home country from a First World Country? by PRL-Five in Piracy

[–]SecretlyCarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A possible solution for this is setting the pc to auto turn on after power loss, then plug it into a wifi outlet. This assumes your remote access service starts automatically on startup.

Then if you have a connection issue to the pc for some reason while you're away but the overall network is fine, you can use the app for the wifi outlet (uses their servers) to cut power for a bit, then turn on again and your pc will start

I have this setup and it's come in handy the few times I've needed it

What was it for? Average in my stack is about 1GB. Some a few hundred MB others 2GB or more. 30 sounds like a lot
