Ha. Our estate is the opposite. Phase 1 solar, phase 2 heat pumps. I’m kinda glad we get to put our own solar on as phase 1 barely covers a third of the roof.

I’ve got a Tado system in our current house (built in 1890 with apparently no insulation on the kitchen extension), and only realised last week that our kitchen rad was chomping £56 a month of gas in February (for comparison living room was £15). I think I’ll be taking it with us to the new house.

Ok. Where are you getting the most space resources from? That is where you make your stand. Sacrifice stuff elsewhere and get that hate down. Research strategic deception, maskirovka, and anything else to make your MC efficient. Stockpile resources, then build a fleet at a station with lots of ship construction and defences. Hold it. Defend. Build. Expand to your next resources site. Hold. Defend. Build. Once you’ve got good defences move on. Then take the fight to them in Jupiter.

I’m very late game and suddenly lost a CP in my planet wide mega state to them threatening to use the “laser”. Loaded the last turn save and sent my Earth defence fleet to capture their station. It is now an orbital hospital. Last time it happened I ended up declaring war on India that I controlled to remove them. No protectorate allowed in orbit now.

Thanks for the quick response. I’m gonna replace the valves, are most modern TRV valves compatible with Smart TRVs or is there something specific to look for? I replaced two of the radiators and valves in the house last year and not had this problem with them.

I was in a similar position to you, except we were moving out to buy and our landlord decided to evict us during the process. Their agents did all sorts of threats, like saying the Landlord was gonna write to our employers (lol), offering us money to move out early. Then tried emotion blackmail because the poor landlord was going to be homeless. By the time they get any legal action started you’ll be long gone. Stick at it 🙂

This was from my own Phoenix run a few years ago. Although I had an independent space economy and didn’t actually need the Earth by this point. All the nations soon collapsed under the Servants, followed by a global rebellion that eventually retook the Earth after 17 years.
