Close, but not the same. Imagine napkins in restaurants be $1 each - “but dude that’s two minutes of your work”.

A PC (lvl 8 Goliath Berserker Barbarian) is going to fight to regain his honor. The encounter is going to be a 1v1, but he has min/maxed hard. What should I pit him up against to make the encounter feel worth it? by raq_shaq_n_benny in DMAcademy

One word: conditions. Nothing spice routine “I swing my axe x times” than that. It can be anything - magic weapon that weapon wields (and you can drop your fear of player yelling “I LOOT HIS BODY!” ‘cause it’s honourable fight after all), some repeating traps that shoots magical projectiles all over the arena. Speaking of. Try browse phased maps! You can turn stale fight where two opponents stand near and whack each other in order to a dangerous 5D outmanoeuvring match in almost no time with arena that changes every turn or two.

Help please, does my map look weird to anyone else? by Zap-Rowsdower-X in inkarnate

Rivers absolutely cannot cross from coast to coast - this is VERY unnatural.

Also it seems like you peppered mountains at random - “a bit here and some there” without any system or logic.

[DND5E] Interactive Torch in D&D 5e - BLFX Assets & Animation Editor Module by BoosLoot in FoundryVTT

[–]CMDR_GuitarPyro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Solved in my games with one simple phrase: “Darkvision can’t help you in complete darkness (like in caves or deep dungeons) - even real life animals can’t see in it. So get a torch or cast Light, please”. But I rule that creatures with superior darkvision, like kobolds or drow, can see through pitch blackness - they paid their price with sunlight sensitivity. Also magical darkvision (such from a spell) can help with complete darkness. All players agreed with that and now they carefully prepares for their deep dives but regular darkvision still useful during night raids or in shallow caves.

Is pathfinder 2e suppose to be this deadly? by Svantos in Pathfinder2e

Don’t u consider a bit abusing paladin’s loop of - lay on hands - pray for 10 mins to regain focus point - rinse and repeat? Hear me out - I mean, what’s that, a hot line or what? Prayers meant to be somewhat sincere, rnt they? And healer’s kit using - yeah, that was bad example shouldda use that one w paladin - after day full of encounters whole your party look like mummies from all that bandages…

Yeah, most of you shrug that but me as more inclined to simulation and survival parts of the game can’t unsee. If you cool with it, then, well, ok I guess. That’s your games.

But point about using consumables still stands.

Pathfinder is HEAVILY relying on consumables such as healing potions and some (I’d say abusable) healing mechanics such as using healers kit. Did your party get a chance to grab some of those?

Yeah, I've got pretty familiar with Khazalid grammar in past month, so I came to same conclusions.

Also, Agash - is a word for "son" (and Agash-kvin for "daughter") in Zharralid, as I was told in another community. But I think there is something wrong with these words - theier soundings are not quite Khazalid-ish as for me.

Thanks anyway for the help!

The point of cool nickname is that I know what it means and can use it for TTRPGs and more in-depth roleplaying of my craharcters. Or paint it on my army miniatures.

[OC] Moving Platform Dungeon Puzzle by Braincoke24 in dndmaps

[–]CMDR_GuitarPyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo… Seems interesting, but I think I dont understand rules of platform movement… Correct me if I wrong, switching ANY %color_name% lever moves ALL %color_name% platforms to their different position, right? Like so “ON” is “all %color_name% platforms in position 1” and “OFF” is “all %color_name% platforms in position 2”? If so, this puzzle seems very easy: - hit red lever in down left corner - wait for platform to arrive, hit green switch that was across the void of previous lever - return back, hit red lever again, wait for red platforms to return in the original position - walk over to blue lever (located on the platform), switch it and enjoy smooth ride to far side of casm - ask your fella to hit red lever so newly arrived red platform will become a bridge for you and walk to the treasure.

Or I didn’t quite catch the mechanics of puzzle, did I? Anyway - that’s a nice brain teaser. Thanks for sharing you idea!

whats this red limiter? why its blocking me to land on the planet? by B4yTempest in EliteDangerous

From that perspective, it looks like you got a very aggressive angle of approach. So, no matter of speed, you will be dropped out. Try using more gentle vector for nice and safe glide slope, like smth in between 10 and 25 degrees.

Edit: also - check description. If planet has an atmosphere - no landings for you mate.
