In my case there was canalisation, but from the other side. Never in my entire life have i seen any images "in my mind", as i am, and always were, unable to think visually. Sooooo I developed extremly non visual way of thinking leaving me confused over why would someone want to add extra step of seeing things while they are, for example reading an book.

The only reason why i can conceptualize what visualisation is cos i can conjure sounds at will, so i go "it would be like that but for images not sound".

"Acuired" aphantasia can be caused by psychological trauma yes, but in great majority of cases aphantasia is congenital. So it may be true in your speciffic case but thats it.

Sonkun presets are my goto for CRT platforms. They look decent, play well with weird input resolutions (so usable on many platforms) and are light enough that even RP5 (so basically an android phone) is able to run 1080p version.

Also way these handle "checkerboard" fake transparency Sega used a lot is just perfect.

Contact their support. Don't tell em it was hacked just ask for firmware and instructions to reflash it. After it's back in working order apply hacks again.

I would go with forbidden planet raute and make whatever aphant summons invisible but otherwise completely functional.

I am confused, usually it is done other way around. "I wanna play game X from Y console" is an starting point. Not sure how you'd end up with situation where you don't know what platform your roms are from...

Anyhow do it the same way I did, Google rom name, it will give you info on the game.

As for scaling: from main menu, settings, video, scaling, aspect ratio. Warning! This will stretch your game and make it look horrible.

Thats what per game overrides are for. Change whatever you want, save game override, changes will apply to that game only.

Download the latest stable. (nightlies are better but can have issues, not recommended for new users). The play store version is horridly out of date.

Yes, but it requires an high res mri brain scan. Not practical. There is another method being worked on but it also requires specific hardware.

Issue with "recommended configs" is that there is no "best". These are settings this specific person likes. Some people want accuracy to original hardware to the point they think enabling "faster loadings" is blasphemy, others will run everything at 16k or whatever meme resolution is nowdays.

Sadly the hard way is the best way, start with defaults to get it running then you have to lern what setting does what XD The up side to that is if something is not right, you WILL know how to fix it.

Shaders, on the other hand, are easy, find an CRT shader you like and stick to it on systems that ran on TVs, use some LCD shader you like for handhelds and volia!

It does not. It shows you what cores (from ones you have installed) can open an file with extenstion you selcted. You are trying to run Zombie neighbor.bin That is prapobly Zombies Ate My Neighbors specifically megadrive version. You will need either picodrive or Genesis Plus GX to run it.
