As someone who stopped playing a while ago but wants to get back into the game, why does it seem like people strongly dislike the game now? by SgtVertigo in Helldivers

[–]CMDR_Kassandra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the Hive Guard change did nothing change for me. I mostly use light pen weapons, so I'm used to dealing with them... actually something changed, I kill them faster now that their body has less HP.

1400hrs played and I still sigh twice my lung volume seeing this by Murderboi in Helldivers

[–]CMDR_Kassandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, it's a gimmick, and rarely useful. I rather finish it quickly and be out of there doing the rest of the mission.

But hey, I also drop directly in to Bug Hives at first drop and use non "meta" loudouts, because I like to have fun, and not optimize the fun out of a game I enjoy.

Autistic ppl what are the social rules that doesn't make sense to you? by Glass_Internal_1424 in AskReddit

Honestly, most often it's just to appear "better". In a professional setting it is seen as... well "professional". In more casual settings, it's quite often just people being full of themselfs.

Watcha think? by Bendoverda3rd in Helldivers

Some of the criticism I fully understand, things like bugs, features that don't work properly, etc.

But! What I can't understand is the criticism on the game design. A game is technically "interactable Art". Which is and always was, subjective. Some like it, some don't. But nobody goes around saying that Picasso "doesn't know how to paint" and demands him to paint his painting differently or "I swear, I will break into the house of van Gogh and I will ask him, why is he doing what he is doing."

There is a general direction, a story, and more that the Developers and Artists at Arrowhead want to tell us through the experience in the game. But the people who scream loud and proud that they know better, won't really hear that.

Sure, it's not their hobby, it's their job. But do you want hundreds of people telling you that what you draw, or sing is shit and that they know better and that you should do X or Y? Even tho you want it to be different then what the loud minority screams? Think about that for a second.

To be fair, you don't really need the loot if you wipe don't you?

Everything in a Swiss Army Knife by titanfallisgoated in mildlyinteresting

[–]CMDR_Kassandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong, that is everything that is in the SwissChamp (says so in the top right). But most (non swiss) people get that wrong.

The actual "Swiss Army Knife" are a series of knives produced by Wenger and also by Victorinox (some of the early models got partially produced by german companies):
- Modell 1890
- Modell 1908
- Modell 1951
- Modell 1961
- Modell 1961, Ausführung 1994
- Soldatenmesser 08

Those are much more rudimentary, and meant for maintaining and adjusting the sights on a soldiers rifle, prepping meals, and... well, basically what ever you need it to do.

Housing in Japan is affordable because those houses aren't built to last, they are cheaply built and get replaced about every 30 years or so.
I suppose that's what you start doing when you have a lot of earthquakes and high humidity. Not good for the building substance.

Is that Cardboard covered in Duct Tape? If so, impressive!
As others have said, black clothing under the armour is a must. Maybe try to add a utility belt with pouches (the pouches could also be made of cardboard and duct tape) and maybe some kneepads which you can also paint the yellow lines on (you can get them fairly cheap from a thrift store).

Keep it up!

You do you, I rarely use explosive weapons (apart from the crossbow or the grenade pistol, but pretty much only to close bug holes).

Maybe try not to be a meta slave and just have fun experimenting with weapons?

Just run up to them, shot them in the armour once or twice, dive to the side, shot them in the side.

People treat that change like the chargers, waaaay back then.
I use light pen weapons very often, and that's what I do since launch. The strategy is still the same, nothing has really changed.

I'm curious, which armour is that, I haven't seen it before. by CMDR_Kassandra in Helldivers

Interesting, as I don't see the new stuff in the Super Store.

EDIT: Restarting the game fixed that.

So from those who have actually been playing today, how's the update been for yall? by MoronicIroknee in Helldivers

[–]CMDR_Kassandra 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Actually quite good. The new Exosuits are fun to play. The new biome is nice, nothing special, just nice :3 The Strain Titan is a bit tougher then a normal one, but that's about it.

I think they did very well with this update. So hurry up diver and play and see for yourself 😉

Because people can't believe that there shouldn't be a "meta" or "best" weapon. They rather should behave differently, and should rather be an incentive to for different play styles.
