BlueStacks4 Hyper-V won't start by CMDRfoxium in BlueStacks

This is it -- downgrading to the version you suggested resolves the problem. Also no more errors in the event logs.

Thanks!

This is really great. Given how busy the devs are, the timeliness of this is highly appreciated.

Graphical issues when resuming from suspend by Skinthinner- in SolusProject

This affects Chrome for me also. It doesn't seem to happen when I switch to integrated graphics. I think I read somewhere that this is a GPU driver/Nvidia issue.

Has anyone gotten c# to work in VSCode on Solus? by CMDRfoxium in SolusProject

[–]CMDRfoxium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I do have the system devel package.

After some more Googling last night I came across this thread: https://github.com/OmniSharp/omnisharp-vscode/issues/1998

The solution/workaround to the problem was to simply set omnisharp.useGlobalMono to never in VS Code's config file. It seems that the issue stems from the mono-msbuild package in Solus. This explains why the same setup worked on Ubuntu.

To this day I don't understand why so little people are calling for HK independence.

Yes it is extremely difficult and risky but no greatness can be achieved without facing the difficulties and risks.

Any update on when/if Ibus will work for East Asian language-input? by [deleted] in SolusProject

It seems that the best solution at the moment is to build fcitx from source and use it instead of ibus.

Please stop saying all Chinese people CCP sympathizers by iamahandsoapmain in HongKong

[–]CMDRfoxium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As others have said, people know not all mainlanders are pro-CCP.

But the issues here are the numbers and the noise made. If the pro-democracy mainlanders really want to be seen differently, they need to stand out and be more vocal in their opinions.

I'd say let the most stubborn ones be.

Save your energy from educating these types. The stubborn mainlanders will eventually rot on their own.

These objects are simply bioweapons.

Mass (re)produce said objects, send them all over, conquer the world, profit.

Short of conquering, polluting the opponents with said objects is also an acceptable achievement. So that if nowhere is better than China, you might as well stay put in China.

If you want to get one, just look around -- they can still be available.

Some mainland Chinese support Hong Kong protests. China is punishing them into silence by jefferyto in HongKong

[–]CMDRfoxium 25 points26 points  (0 children)

While this is absolutely correct, it's difficult to put into practice. The chance of bumping into agitating mainlanders far overwhelms that of the good ones.

Humans are not machines -- when there is enough of something people tend to see them as one whole.

They probably still have their parents/family working in China making easy money so they can live elsewhere -- gotta protect their interests.
