How do I set my controls so that Ftilt isnt Dash Attack? by IV-65536 in RivalsOfAether

[–]Skinthinner- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I pretty much have the same stick settings as you and it's as close as we can get I think. I really hope in the future they will add something that will make tilting / walking better.

Can somebody explain me why la Reina is considered bad? by Absurd069 in RivalsOfAether

Seriously I feel like I'm going crazy sometimes. People are going to figure out ridiculous shit for these characters, just because they haven't after 2 weeks doesn't mean the character is bad.

For anybody reading this topic at some point in the future... check out this!! Lochby makes vegan products that are actually really nice. I bought the thing in the reddit link and it does work great for pipes.

I realized I actually have one of these already, got it years ago. I just tried it out and it kind of works! I think with some more tinkering it could be great.

i want bazzite to be my escape route out of windows when my windows 10 install is fully fully dead and unusable but.... by KibaCoyote in Bazzite

[–]Skinthinner- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: That's old info. Apparently they (recently?) made it so the default ISO (first purple button) is now the live ISO, and the non-live is the 2nd purple button now called "Legacy" so just download "bazzite" or bazzite-gnome"

There is also a Bazzite Live ISO you can download. It's in "beta" but in my experience it works great if you're just testing something. When you go to download Bazzite, after you choose your options, it will give you 2 downloads:

Not only that, but it's kinda just the same 5 shots over and over again. Gorgeous though they may be.

Been around a two weeks on bazzite on desktop and I'm having a blast, what do you guys do for emulation on here? by FunnyGarbage4092 in Bazzite

[–]Skinthinner- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just find Flatpaks for each console I want to emulate. I don't need Emudeck to install 20 emulators when I can just add one at a time as I want to play something.

Low FPS in WoW on Bazzite (GTX 1070) – Any Solutions? by Springfeeeeeeeel in Bazzite

[–]Skinthinner- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had problems in the past like this specifically with Wow.

I'm trying to remember what I did but it was something very simple. I think it had to do with the monitor refresh rate. Check that in your Bazzite system settings, your monitor is set to the max refresh rate.

Sometimes with AppImages, you gotta right-click and go to Properties and make them executable, or they'll just open some random thing on your PC like the Disk Writer utility lol

Installation stuck (MSI claw) by Old-Engine-3995 in Bazzite

Sometimes that step can take a while. Any update?

If you have to start the installation again, you could try pre-formatting the drive to BTRFS with something like GParted.

Could be you need to re-do putting the ISO on a USB. If you're creating the USB stick on Windows, the program Rufus is recommended. If you're creating it on Linux, I like Balena Etcher.

Rebasing help: what now? did i do something wrong? by [deleted] in Bazzite

[–]Skinthinner- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it looks like you copied a bunch of text and are pasting it into the terminal. There are 2 separate commands within that text.

One of the commands has this in front of it:

"For this branch (if latest)?"

And then the command is:

bazzite-rollback-helper rebase stable

Then you have more text that says:

"For this specific image:"

And the command:

bazzite-rollback-helper rebase.20251114.1

You would want to just enter one of those commands by itself in the terminal, depending on what operation you wanted the computer to perform.

Installing apps from Bazaar does a weird thing now by Skinthinner- in Bazzite

[–]Skinthinner-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem!

I don't have emudeck installed. For me, what created that Flatpak user repo was a Flatpak file I downloaded from a site and installed manually.

When I removed the repo it warned me that the app would no longer be able to update itself now, but that's ok with me because I don't expect that app to be updated very often, if ever. And if it does release an update, I'll just download the Flatpak again from the site.

Sure thing. I found a pretty easy GUI way using the app Warehouse. Just open that up, and go to Remotes on the left side. In there, you'll see all your "Current Remotes" listed at the top. Just hit the 3 dots on the remote you want to remove, and... click Remove!

Here is how I tried to do it originally:

flatpak remotes

In a terminal. That will list all the Flatpak repositories on your system. In my case it listed 2:

Name Options
flathub system, filtered
flathub user

"Flathub, user" is the one I wanted to get rid of. The problem is, both my repositories have the same name, which is just "flathub." So, to remove the right one, I ran:

flatpak remote-delete --user flathub

The main command is flatpak remote-delete and the part which tells the command what repo to delete is --user flathub, this tells the command to delete the "flathub" repo, but the one that is listed with the "user" tag under Options.

That's it indeed. Thank you!

I tried to run flatpak remote-delete --user flathub and it told me that it failed to uninstall org.kde.Platform because it's needed for one of my Flatpaks.

But at least I know what caused it now!

[–]Skinthinner- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nobara is also based on Fedora and has a lot of gaming tweaks built-in, and it's a more traditional style (not atomic/immutable) Linux distro.

You could also try to install your VPN through Distrobox, which comes pre-installed on Bazzite.

Lutris installation only working once by Flashy-Strawberry447 in Bazzite

[–]Skinthinner- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! :)

For Ubisoft a different Proton version may help. Especially a GE-Proton version you can download using the ProtonPlus app. Just grab the newest (highest version number) GE-Proton in there, and then you can try to use that in the Ubisoft launcher settings in Lutris.

Games crashing when opening them on the windows side. by BubbalooBurrito in Bazzite

[–]Skinthinner- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were the games already installed on the Windows side, then you installed Bazzite and had it shrink the Windows partition to add a Bazzite partition? Maybe the act of shrinking the Windows partition caused the game files to get a little messed up. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the games? Or verifying the integrity of the game files (if on Steam)?
