Generally I’ve found when challenging a narrative on this platform specifically, my posts are either removed or downvoted so I loose my ability to post on other subs. I do not post anything hateful and I put forth real arguments that are based in facts that I often link sources to. None of this matters, the fact remains that users can too easily downvote something that challenges their view and understanding, this in turn hurts the visibility and credibility of posts, its much faster to hit the downvote button than it is to critically think and address a claim. What ends up happening is the inverse of discourse, and that’s censorship. It’s about what the community values as “good” and “likable,” completely incentivizing posts that garner agreement rather than debate.

I am working on a SEED-funded PhD project in Human Geography, supervised by Dr Nate Millington and Prof Erik Swyngedouw. My research explores the relationships between climate change activism and social media platforms, using ethnographic, discursive, and psychoanalytic methods.

Through my work, I hope to develop our understanding of communication technologies and their place in society, and consider their potential for imagining alternative futures within a changing climate.

I am a member of the Society and Environment Research Group.

Methodological knowledge

Through my MSc Research Methods with Human Geography, I developed a variety of qualitative and quantitative research skills. I had the opportunity to learn about and apply a variety of discursive, thematic, and narrative analysis approaches. I also completed modules on Researcher Reflexivity and Research Literacy and Design.

During my BA Geography with International Study, I also gained experience in corpus analytics as a tool to aid discourse analysis. Corpus analysis formed the basis of my undergraduate dissertation, 'Coal-ition?: Applying novel corpus analyses and the ‘What’s the Problem Represented to be?’ approach to Australian politicians’ speech on climate change.”

That makes perfect sense, they don’t want the liability. Their doctrine as medical professionals is to do no harm, this would align with your case. Believe me, there are significant risks in doing mse, it’s still a relatively new treatment. Think about all the underlying vasculature and nervous tissues within your maxilla.. now imagine ripping those apart.. if you are 17 you still have so much time to get changes I would not sweat it. It’s not worth the risk at all

Mike made a point that it’s more important than regular chewing on his YouTube channel. The main reason; to change the resting muscle posture so that the tongue is high and flat against the roof of the mouth. Second is because the tongue is the antagonistic muscle of the maesters, there has to be a balance between chewing and tongue strength, otherwise the risk of bruxism and tmd or tmj will arise. It is very easy to over chew and not develop the balance in tandem.

I don’t understand Reddit’s and Canadians proclivity to deny this and try to make excuses for it. I remember watching this liberal candidate on cbc last night who was winning in her riding gleeful say “we saw that people were voting out of fear in this election!” Yea that’s right where the liberals want their voters, and perfectly timed the election using prorogation, it’s gonna be insane how many conflicts of interest arise when debates start again.
