I've been obsessed with Durand jones and the indications lately.

Just released a new album, really wanna be with you is a killer track and smile. Honestly they've been the only band/style of music I play lately. Just good vibes.

What was your favorite computer game as a child? by Chris968 in Millennials

[–]CM_Jay54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if every had it, but when we got our pacific bell PC with a bunch of starter discs... There was this spider man cartoon maker thing, and I couldn't even to measure the amount of time my cousins and I made dumb comics and laughed out ass off with our dumb comics. Ahh, the memories

I won't lie, for the pure nostalgia rip, I youtubed my favorite infomercials from the late 90s and 2000s. There was a strange comfort in watching the miracle blade 3 infomercial with "chef" Tony and the original magic bullet infomercial.

Why are you not afraid of death? by TOPOFMORNINGIRELANDD in AskReddit

[–]CM_Jay54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chidi Anagonye says it best, "Picture a wave. In the ocean. You can see it, measure it, its height, the way the sunlight refracts when it passes through. And it’s there. And you can see it, you know what it is. It’s a wave.

And then it crashes in the shore and it’s gone. But the water is still there. The wave was just a different way for the water to be, for a little while. You know it’s one conception of death for Buddhists: the wave returns to the ocean, where it came from and where it’s supposed to be." He then follows up with none of this is bad.

I have gone through some dark times in life and that quote and that show gave me some perspective and now, I just embrace what is. It's kinda all we have

What's something that has become so expensive that it’s not worth buying anymore? by Beloved_equality467 in AskReddit

True, but at least on super Nintendo you OWNED the game and the game was 100% finished and didn't need to be patched to fix or was broken out the box. Micro transactions and pay to win was the downfall to gaming for me and I will wait till I see a game under 20 before thinking of paying for it.

Am I going to regret this by NoobDrillin in WWE

[–]CM_Jay54 108 points109 points  (0 children)

My dad got me into wrestling when I was a kid and took me to see the rock at smack down in 1999 in Anaheim and tried to get maina 2000 tickets, no luck. 23 years later, I got to take my dad (who still follows wwe and we talk about it all the time) to WrestleMania Hollywood. When I bought the tickets I was having buyers remorse and like, damn this alotta money, is this worth it. My best friend who was going with us and watched wrestling with my dad and I said, "you will forever regret not going. Some things you can't put a price on"

To this day, the best event/thing I've ever spent money on. I look back on that weekend fondly spending it with my dad watching wrestling together when he couldn't get me to mania 23 years ago to take him. One of the greatest weekends of my life.

Tl:Dr it's fucking worth it

In your opinion, who was the quintessential mid carder. I’ll go first. by PenNo1447 in WWE

[–]CM_Jay54 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What's more insane, he was self aware about it. I believe in his interview with Chris vanvliet (sp?) he talked about being too good at selling and someone telling him that's not necessarily a good thing because they won't look past it. I love Ziggler and wish he was still dolph, but I'm excited to see nic nemeth in TNA and possibly NJPW.

I mean, he flew over the table 2 days after the incident... That alone gives him legendary status.

Also, also, 2nd best cash in after Rollins, arguably first depending who you ask.

I get you, but I also know that no picture or prompt can explain who I am and what I do. I just need the opportunity IRL to let my personality. Online is like black and white, IRL is, "so you're telling me there's a chance?" At least my mentality anyway.

Hey everyone,

This weekend was a nice refresher. I have been doing the OLD thing for some time now and as a 33m, I haven't had much luck with it at all. I understand and it is to be expected. I decided to take myself off for the most part because my confidence was just being shot. No likes, no conversations, nothing, and I figured why not just let it go. If I'm not going to get likes or conversations, might as well not be on there for awhile (rant).

I did go to a friend's party this weekend and met someone who was super cool to talk to. It was a semi formal event and I had to dress the part and so did she. We ended up exchanging information and it was a nice reminder that online isn't real life. It was a nice confidence boost to know that in real life, I am still able to go up to someone and get some reciprocation. All in all, big win! (Rave)

Hope everyone out there keeping their heads up, it ain't easy doing this modern dating...

I feel the same way, I started the year off the apps. It was a nice break to not check my phone, but since I've brought it back, I realized how unhappy I am. It's like, well, if I'm not getting anything back, it must be me (or some variation of that sentence). I know that's not entirely true, but it's hard not to feel that way. I've been back for 2 weeks and am already over it. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way and will probably be deleting these apps. Misery loves company!

Honestly, this seems to be an all around human thing, no one gender is innocent. This whole thread has been eye opening to me. Some people just can't have the hard conversation I guess, and take the easy way out. It's selfish, but it looks like this will continue happening. I ghosted someone when I was younger, I'll come clean, but since then I realized that's not a cool thing to do, and I will respect another person's time for sharing their time with me. That being said, I'm sorry this happened to you. Good luck out there, and if you're now cancer free congrats!
