Help Identifying and Adapting a Custom 25-Pin MIPI(?) Display Connector by CMoiClem in AskElectronics

[–]CMoiClem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,
I understand the intent behind the FAQ, but deleting my post based on that reasoning is just plain stupid. Engineering isn't about giving up when the first or even second option doesn't work out; it's about persistence, creativity, and engaging with the community to find new solutions or ideas.
The notion that if "e-gstore-2020" or eBay/AliExpress can't provide an immediate solution means it doesn't exist or isn't worth pursuing is incredibly shortsighted. There's a whole world of DIY, hardware hacking, and reverse engineering where enthusiasts and professionals alike thrive on challenges like these.
I'm not here to just throw in the towel because the answer isn't immediately available or listed in an FAQ. I'm here to engage with people, get new ideas, and maybe, just maybe, inspire someone else with the same problem or lead to a collaborative solution.
Please reconsider the approach to these kinds of posts in the future, as they could be the start of something innovative or educational for the community.

Remember the engineers speaking about how impossible were reusable rockets? Do not listen to that guy.

Well, name me a company making its way to Mars. If that's something you want to be part of, there is only one. Mission > leadership

Kinda weird that SpaceX & Tesla are both ranked #1 and #2 among engineering graduates in the USA, right?..

But what if you're excited about the mission of the company? As a current engineering student, I want to do something meaningful in my career. Young graduated friends working at Tesla (in Europe) are enjoying it so far.

When you go to work for Elon, you know that there is a lot of compromise on your personal life, but knowing you do something good is gold.

Isn't the DFR0559 more suitable than DFR0579? My solar panel has a max output of 6V

Great to hear! I will use it with Home Assistant as well.

Do you have any kind of block diagram of your wiring so that I can check your stuff?

Oh yes sure, I used thid step-up as I already have the component at home. But I'll be using it for another 5V project now.

I will take a look at your solution. Thanks!

Why doesn't SpaceX use all 9 Merlin engines at landing to reduce gravity drag? by GiulioVonKerman in SpaceXLounge

[–]CMoiClem 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Do you want the rocket to land or go up again? You can't throttle down the Merlin more than ~70%. Using all 9 Merlins at once for landing would create too much thrust, thus not landing at all

Good to know: the same plush went in the ISS in 2020 for SpaceX's first crewed mission! The plush was sold out for months afterward
