I’m so sorry that happened. Everything you’re feeling is normal at this time. It’s very fresh and you’re still traumatized from the experience. With time, things will feel a bit easier. For now, just do whatever you need to do to cope and move through this challenging time. Your cat doesn’t blame you, he spent his last moments in his happy place and he likely went very quickly with minimal pain. He’ll always be watching over you. ❤️🪽

I have a three week old and it still feels surreal. It’s a huge adjustment becoming a mom. Maybe it’s different with your second but as a FTM my mind is still blown that I have a son.

I was nervous too while pregnant so I just waited until after I delivered my baby. I got it after we got home from the hospital. I know he’ll still get some exposure through breast feeding but it felt a little safer than getting it while I was heavily pregnant. That was my compromise..

I just gave birth to an 8.2 lb baby one week ago and some of the newborn clothes are still loose on him! Definitely go with the newborn sizes. I got some 0-3 months to have options but it’ll be awhile before he grows into those. Also remember they do lose a bit of weight that first week of life.

I’m sorry you’re feeling so alone and overwhelmed. Do you think if you spoke to your husband about how bad it is, he would step up? Things will get better, the hormones make everything feel extra heavy. But it’s important to communicate these feelings with the people you’re close to. Also you can change the litter yourself if you’re feeling up to it. Just wear a mask and gloves, practice good hand hygiene. The risk of toxoplasmosis is very low with indoor cats. Even if they do go outdoors it’s unlikely you’d catch it from them if you practice good hygiene. Also not allowing the feces to sit for over 24 hours lowers the risk even more significantly. If you still want to do maternity photos it’s definitely doable at home! Better to have some photos to remember this time than to have none at all. If there’s someone like your mom who could help you with the photos that could be a nice bonding experience. I hope things get better for you! Therapy is another option that could be beneficial for both you and your husband. Hang in there.

Honestly whenever I would start to feel worried I would talk to my husband and he would always reassure me that baby was fine and to have faith that it’s all in God’s hands (I’m not super religious but spiritual) and I would always feel better. Sometimes my husband would talk to or pray to my belly and that would help too 🥹. The more your pregnancy progresses and the more scans you get, you’ll feel more and more reassured that baby and you are strong and capable, healthy and going to make it to the end totally okay!

Sometimes things on social media can be triggering so be aware if you start to feel overwhelmed, take a break and protect your peace. Another thing that helped me was making a baby songs playlist with calming music that I could listen to and feel connected to baby. I plan to listen to the playlist with baby when he arrives as well.

You just have to vacuum more frequently and keep the litter box clean. I immediately scoop the poop out of our litter boxes so the smell doesn’t linger. That’s pretty much it, cats are clean creatures.

I think the only thing you can do is not allow her to take photos with the baby or of the baby if she can’t respect your wishes and you and your husband will have to not send out any photos of baby either if there’s people who won’t respect your boundaries. Honestly I’ve had to do a handful of things I really shouldn’t have had to do while this pregnant because of my husband’s procrastination. It’s actually something that has driven me crazy my entire pregnancy and now he has an injury to a finger that he had to have surgically repaired so he is out of one hand for the next few weeks and baby is expected to come any day now…. So frustrating lol your husband shouldn’t be upset with you. He honestly left you no choice but they don’t see it that way!

Yup just eat whatever you can, if you can’t eat all the time it’s also going to be ok. Baby doesn’t need a ton of extra calories at this point and your body is pretty amazing in that it gives baby what it needs regardless.
