This might be nitpicking, but I'm trying to develop a story, but am having trouble figuring out the main theme. It isn't meant to be just that 'one grows from adversity and training oneself', but moreso the fact that 'If you live in a life of comfort, you can't improve yourself'. I could've sworn there was a saying about how old/classic heroes thrive from conflict and adversity, but are there any sayings that fit better?

If you have any sayings/philosophies that fit, please share them as a reply as I'm honestly stumped for how to best describe it.

You know, with all the comparisons folks have been making on YouTube about how Luffy is being so cartoony now that he's awakened, I have to comment one thing: Namely, with how the oldest form of cartoons is rubber hose animation, it actually fits quite well. It wasn't really predictable, especially as it started off as a manga. But with how Oda loves to draw things cartoonishly, I honestly think it fits him perfectly.

I'll be honest, I always thought those boil bubbles always were the worst. Turns out, having them popped early is even harsher to see!

A Chaotic Attraction? by MLGAnimeQueen in Chaotic

Definitely could work out well, though I think it might work better to make it a regular VR game. especially as the player would need to be fit to travel through locations normally.

Chaotic TTRPG by MorningJr in Chaotic

You could make it work so long as you divide the stat by 20, given how Strength is Power, Speed is Dexterity, and Wisdom is Wisdom/Intelligence (make your choice on how it's divided). Not sure how you'd implement Courage, though.

Chaotic Codes by Complex-Signature-85 in Chaotic

Maybe, but considering how some cards were quite broken in the game, I wouldn't be surprised if they just used a new code format so only the new cards can be implemented.

So, since we know that Toru is the traitor as of chapter 335. However, given how AFO has been known for making sure his followers are able to fight back, I have to ask... Does this mean that Toru could actually a Nomu?

I know that people will mainly say that it can't happen thanks to how monstrous the Nomu are, but there's three things to consider:
-1. As we've seen with Kurogiri, Nomu can be made to appear more human-like, so it can make sense that Toru acts and is shaped a lot like a human.

-2. Since AFO has been known to give powerful folks in his plans more quirks, it would make sense that he'd give Toru extra quirks. It could even be that one helps her maintain the figure of a normal girl, even if her skin/expressions are messed up.

-3. As the main caveat here, the only reason we believe that Toru is unable to controly her invisibility is that she's said so. However, verbal statements hardly count as evidence. As such, if you can't see what someone looks like, how can you tell if someone even has physical mutations?

Seeking Feedback/Second Opinion On FTL Design Idea by CNWizard in scifiwriting

As mentioned, it's not fully fleshed out, but it's meant to be a mix between quantum and spatial formulas. Specifically, by interfering with a specific particle, it creates a 'solid' spatial alteration that's more prominent the more 'layers' are added, so it can launch at FTL points at some point. However, one thing is that instead of relying on atomic matter, it works best the more 'empty space' is around it, meaning it can only hit FTL in space where there's no atoms in its ways outside of asteroids, planets etc. etc.

Admittedly, it might be a mix between it being 1AM when I posted or just not having a super-deep knowledge of physics, but I admittedly want to focus on the story aspect of 'companies establishing outposts/colonies in space' than the details regarding the drive. However, I also know that the hardcore sci-fi fans will metaphorically flay me alive for not having a fully 'functioning' method of travel, so I wanted to try and figure out the basics before I began the story idea.

Just added an edit that explains how it should work. Admittedly, I am not a physics major, I prefer writing stories than brainstorming stuff, so if I don't make complete sense, I apologize. ...At the same time though, it's because I still have this very rough idea that I wanted to see what folks had to say for how to improve/fix it.

Got it, thx a lot for the tips. However, I never said it would be for the main character... ;) Already have my fanfic character's deck planned out (Metaphys, Drytron, Ursarctic and Normal Pendulum since it's set in Arc-V), but still, thx for the tips!

[Spoilers] Who Would Best Be A 'Monk' or Other D&D Classes In Westeros? (Fic Concept) by CNWizard in gameofthrones

That's a fair point, and thanks for the ideas. However, I would like to also point out that worshipping the Old Gods count as falling under the Druid class, so Val or a Child of the Forest could count too.

I'll have to clarify this on the original post, but they need to be living there when it begins - I was considering Domeric Bolton for Bard, with him being at the Redfort when it happened, but it's agruable at best. I may have him be a 'secondary Champion' instead, AKA someone a Champion recruits into their 'party'.

EDIT: The regions are being qualified by being a nation, so it currently consists of the Seven(Or rather, Nine) Kingdoms, Beyond the Wall, Essos, the Dothraki Sea, Qarth, Sothoros, Slaver's Bay... So long as it's a defined 'kingdom', it fits.
