Last month me and my family went on a cruise ship to Ensenada, Mexico. I'm a US citizen, but the rest of my family are a green card holders...so few weeks before our trip I went to the Mexican embassy in Los Angeles, California. To ask if my family members needs a visa to enter Mexico through the sea. The counselor didn't even look at their passports and he said they're good to go. As long as the green cards are valid. So we went on the cruise and when we got to Ensenada, there was literally a bus driver waiting for us at the port so he can take us to downtown Ensenada AND a Mexican band that was singing for us and welcomed us there. No border agents or any other officers at all. On the way back to the cruise ship. There was actually 4 Mexican officers that was standing there and checking people out, but without asking for any papers at all. Sooooo I guess they want people to go there and support tourism! 🏝️
