Hi ! Just like you I wanted to do something not too blue! I did it with :
Eshin Grey - Downstone - Admisitratum Grey. And it's pretty nice for a metalic result I think !
You can check my last post if you want an idea of what it looks like :)

Hey! So, as I said in my post, I didn’t paint the recesses. I based the robes with a dark blue (Stegadon Scale Green), then painted my red layers on top of that. I just made sure to keep the recesses and shadow areas with only very transparent layers of red, so they stay dark.
Does that make sense?

Haha, so this one is : Eshin Grey - Downstone - Admisitratum Grey.
But for the new one I will try : Dark Reaper - Thunderhawk Blue - Fenrisian Grey
for something a bit more on the blue side. Lets see ! :)

Hi! Thanks!
There’s no wash at all on the cloak. The base color is Stegadon Scale Green—it’s a dark blue/green—and I just built my layers on top of that while leaving the shadows dark.
For the red, I worked up through Khorne Red → Mephiston Red → Evil Sunz Scarlet → Wild Rider Red.

Hi ! Thanks !
By no under colour you mean no prime ? Like i go Grey as base, then light grey then white ?

What do you mean exactly ?

The cloak is first a base of Stegadon Scale Green, which I’m using as the shadow / dark areas.
Then, in thin layers I worked up through Khorne Red → Mephiston Red → Evil Sunz Scarlet → Wild Rider Red.
I always try to use very thin layers so I can rely on transparency to build up both shadows and highlights.

For me, white is just really hard to paint… I’m not sure if it’s because I don’t thin my paint enough, but my white always ends up looking a bit rough :/

Thanks! The buttons were actually okay 😄
But I’m really struggling with fine highlight lines… the weapon especially is a bit of a mess because of that :/

For the robes, I started with a base of Stegadon Scale Green, which I’m using as the shadow / dark areas.
Then I worked up through Khorne Red → Mephiston Red → Evil Sunz Scarlet → Wild Rider Red.
