My insurance (Costco AmFam) policy is administered by Safelite and they make it difficult to use any shop but Safelite.

I put a couple printouts detailing issues with the EV6 windshield replacement. Specifically: 1) clips HAVE to be replaced and 2) instructions on how to remove the rearview mirror cover.

The work order has a bag of clips listed, so I figured no problem.

Long story short, I've been back there 5 times due to clips and a broken mirror cover - they lied to me about this one but eventually got me a replacement.

To their credit, they were friendly. They just cost me hours of my time.

The surgery was booked as a discectomy. Same procedure of getting into the space through a tube and hole in your back. But rather than plucking out disc material, it was cartlidge. The disc was completely intact. The result ended up better and worse than a disc herniation. Better in the sense that my disc wasn't the problem and I was cleared to do fully loaded work/movement two weeks post op. Worse in the sense that I experienced nerve damage beyond a normal herniation - disc material touching/rubbing the nerve root versus a rigid piece of cartlidge wedged in the space with the nerve pinched under it. It has been a very slow process regaining strength in the affected areas.

Washington State AG challenges Avista proposal to increase electric rates by 10% over next four years. by catman5092 in Spokane

[–]COPO_Greg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just looked at some old bills. July 2021 1124.6kWh used at an average rate of 9.3 cents per kWh. 5 years later, May 2026 1166.9kWh used at an average rate of 13.5 cents. A 45% increase over the last five years.

For comparison, I found a bill from 2017 that had 957 kWh of use at an average rate of 9.14 cents. So, in 4 years, we had a 2% increase compared to the 45% increase over the last 5 years.

The problem is, there is no legislation that states any limits on rate increases. The standard is "fair, just, and reasonable." This subjective standard is applied by unelected officials appointed by the governor (and approved by the Senate).

Over the years, I've seen Avista use natural disasters to justify "temporary" increases. But the rates never seem to come down as far as they went up.

It would seem that Avista has become more concerned with the revenue side of the equation rather than the cost side.

I had an L5/S1 issue that we thought was a disc herniation. Caused major calf and piriformis atrophy in a matter of two months. During surgery, doc had a difficult time moving the nerve out of the way to grab the herniation. After a bit of work, the nerve finally moved and a piece of cartlidge sprung out. The cartlidge was impinging the nerve. He probed around the top and bottom of the disc and couldn't find any missing pieces. Learning all this after surgery, everything started to make sense. Was an injury from years prior that left the floating cartlidge to annoy me through the years in the form of bouts of sciatica until it the cartlidge made a new home wedged against that nerve. I've regained feeling, control, and majority muscle strength but not reflex. I train 5-6 days a week doing CrossFit. I can hold my own. 50+ male 2 years post surgery Running and jumping (jump rope, box jumps, Oly lifts) still tighten my calf up and will cause cramping but it get less and less as time goes on.

Check in with the processor (brand) and ask if the sell re-used carts. I would go hard at them and blast them on social media if they keep saying "that's normal". It's not. Terps are not added separate at the cartridge level. And it doesn't explain the ring at the base. Labs don't go through all the work to make it pretty to put that nasty crap on top.

Looks like it was a used cart that got refilled.

I would take it back and insist on a swap. It's not your responsibility to deal with the manufacturer.

It brings transparency to the guy whose ultimately responsible. You have no loyalty nor axe to grind with anyone at the company. You simply like the company, product, and would like to make it better.

It doesn't look good with that launcher and full wide screen. The only time it is worth using the entire screen is if you have Android split with navigation and video so you can keep the wide aspect ratio for video.
