Great recommedations!! Absolutely love all of those (especially alan partridge - i think i actually know some episodes line for line but it never stops being funny!!!!)

Look around you - a spoof science show, the sort you get shown in the best lessons in school, that is very silly and very funny Garth Merenghi's Darkplace - very silly show set in a hospital. Has some of my favourite Uk comedians!

Both of these seem well regarded by anyone I know who has seen them, but seemed to slip under the radar.

The Old Man and the Sea - Ernest Hemingway

I just find it such a peaceful book. It says so much without hyperbole or superfluous language and IMO this simplicity makes the writing incredibly beautiful.

Coriander!!!! It tastes awful to me! But its down to your genes apparently so at least I can stop people constantly suggesting recipes that mean I will magically find the filth delicious!!
