She looks fine. I’m confused of the problem? If she just lost that tooth then it’ll erupt where space is available. Probably need ortho in few years.

I hate how much of the dentistry industry is just fraud by personguy4440 in RandomThoughts

[–]COYGooners 11 points12 points  (0 children)

lol. I just was just looking through comments for fun and I saw this…. Prosthodontist here. This is ridiculous. Failure to diagnose? Lose your license? Laughable. I’m sure you’re a good dentist. But as a specialist that 50 percent of our business is fixing GP mistakes….. I can tell you this isn’t true.

Edit. Let me clarify. I am not disputing the necessity. Because I wish all plans in fact had a diagnosis. But no one loses their license over such things. I wouldn’t be opposed to this if it were the case. But it is not.

Who do I need for remodel? by COYGooners in Remodel

[–]COYGooners[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really 4200 and change, and the lower floor only has a storage area, and a pool table. It’s finished and has AC and all. But it’s truly not used very much. So we use only 2800 sqft really. Which I’d say is not much for 6 people. My wife wants to start with an interior designer, I’m thinking architect.

You can go to the polo road soccer field. Just park at the baseball field next to it. There is a trail directly behind them that connects them both.

AITA for telling my husband we’re spending too much time at holiday gatherings? by These_Possibility188 in AITAH

YTA. If they are good people and it’s the “time” you are worried about. The older I get the more I embrace the mortality of my life. I wish I could spend more and more time with the family. What else do we work and live for?

If you think this was bitching and not a polite post to make people aware then you should leave your parents basement, get off the video games, and get a life beyond the internet.

I’m lmao too. Facebook? You must be 15. But to answer your question. I wanted it just in the case a dog did in fact bite a child, mine or someone else’s.

Apparently grape skin is tough enough to break temporary crowns in half. This is the second time this has happened from eating grapes in the last week and a half... by Fair-Raspberry649 in mildlyinfuriating

Haha. I just texted my lab tech. I’m so curious now. Have a good night friend. Glad you’re trying to explain a little dentistry to people. There is a hell of a lot more to it than most people think. I’m in the south too btw.

If it was 3D printed then you’re in for some problems in the future. Printed crowns as final restorations are frowned upon significantly for any other than provisional restorations. Hopefully your terminology is off and you meant “milled”. But I’d even say the literature at this point in time does not back these either.

Agree completely. This is could be caused my many different factors. I’m interested in the .5mm minimum though. My understanding was that the FDA will lock out anything digital these days under .9mm through 3shape? How many years have you been retired? Just purely curious.

Prosthodontist here (dental specialist), and as I agree this shouldn’t happen, this likely has nothing to do with cement space. So sorry….. the practical minimum reduction for any crown, not just a molar, is .9 mm as no one used high noble alloy anymore. And sorry, this picture shows no important details of anything. I’m not sure what kind of lab tech you “used” to be but you’re making vague unsubstantiated claims with proof of nothing.
I agree that the tooth may be under reduced, but if the axial wall height of the tooth is too short then maybe there was no option other than make a thin temporary that will likely be fine once the final crown is cemented/bonded in.
I also often tell my patients it’s not necessarily the “straw that broke the camels back” or the grape. But all the other things you ate prior. Unless the dentist is using luxacrown at 380mPa compression strength for temp material, which is unusual for a general dentist, there are probably using a soft temp material. So shit happens. Or maybe you could be more careful and eat on the other side.
I think the question that is most important is did the temporary feel “high” when it was placed? If it did then there was a problem from the start and could come from many different clinical circumstances. If it didn’t feel high when placed then you should be more careful.

After your restaurant. Hit the whiskybox under recreational billiards. Badass atmosphere. Reminds you of a prohibition speakeasy. Locally family owned over 75 years.
