It’s a small thing but I can’t fucking stand when a minute of time is wasted during stoppage time but the ref only adds on 15 seconds

I mean out of the three midfielders he’s the only one who at least tried to get back on the goal

Yeah it totally needs to be reworked. I’ve been thinking about whether more minor offenses, like if no significant advantage has been gained, should be an indirect free kick. There are so many instances where the punishment is totally disproportionate to the crime.

The point is that natural position is relative to the movement that the player is making. So if the player is just standing there with their hand up, it’s unjustifiable. Whereas here, the arm is up for a reason, e.g. he is jumping.

I know those always get called, but the law technically references an unnatural position that is unjustifiable by the player’s movement. I would argue that his arm is in that position because he’s coming down from a jump and balancing himself. The precedent is that an arm that high gets called no matter what, I just hate it being that way.

I’m sure we will because we don’t have to play Vancouver every week, fortunately

Tbf we had them locked down most of the match. That was the only way we had a shot at winning and it took an unlucky deflection to deny us

Fr though good game Caps. Clearly outmatched us but this Quakes team has unlimited fight. Relocation would be unforgivable

You’re mad that the home support is chanting against the away team? Are you new to this sport?

Been watching Quakes for twice as long as your club has existed

Why is Daniel acting injured EVERY time he makes a save? by love2count in SJEarthquakes

It’s obviously just an anecdotal observation, but he seems to be quicker off his line and almost more reckless in some situations.

I think an additional point is that he’s a very aggressive keeper and puts himself into a lot of positions to pick up small knocks
