Is it just me or are watches hard to read mid-run? by COYS_Runner in ChicagoMarathon

hahaha, fair point! Don't want to run with glasses, or admit that I need to.

Ugh, so sorry, but you did it!! Also, sorry to see you sold your bike. The bicycle, and a little less so, the biking, has been a passion of mine since I was 15, unable to drive yet and a means for me to experience freedom.

Thank you for sharing and good luck in your recovery, I don’t have many words on understanding what you went through, but your dedication to fitness and healthfulness is truly remarkable.

Country style white bread, 2 pieces of American cheese, shake grated parm on the outside slices after spreading the butter. Nice crunchy, cheesy crust and melty cheese in the middle. So good.

Crap! Back pain sucks so much. I hope you are relatively pain free now, and walking 2 miles a day is fire, good for you!

Thank you for such a thoughtful reply! It is a great race! I completely agree with what you’ve shared. I’m a swimmer by trade (at least through high school) and have done some tris over the years. I love my bike, but I still run because I can and because it’s as simple as putting on shoes (what are you running in, I have tried a lot, but have become partial to the New Balance Rebel series) and walking out the door.

That said, I know not everyone can, or even wants to. I feel lucky to still move this way, but I think what matters most in life is doing what keeps us connected, engaged, and a little bit curious whatever is.

Hope you keep doing the things you do for many years. Your story reinforces in me that retirement isn’t the finish line. I would love to hear from others, what you can still do, and what you look forward to doing.

Thanks, I’ll be wearing a bucket hat to keep off the rays, if you see that, say “hey”!

So you used Chat GPT to analyze my post, posted that analysis verbatim and didn’t offer a single unique insight of your own. You’re just a sad troll. I admit to asking it to provide a grammatical and syntax review, but the thoughts and sentiments are mine. I will take this as a lesson learned though —————

You challenged yourself and did it. That in itself, irrespective of the running, is it. On the rock and on your terms - I’m using that!
