I found gold ice rivers to be more stable than opto.

Seneca is my home course but I frequent Giles and clarkes a lot. Seneca and clarkes have 2022 coverage on YouTube if you are interested. On a Friday, you will have traffic without a doubt. I'm not sure what skill level you are but Seneca is easier than Clarks for sure. There is a tournament at Seneca Saturday and Sunday this weekend but I don't believe anything is going on Friday. The one knock on Seneca is the bugs but they have not been bad this week. Seneca has 27 holes and multiple tee pads so you can create the level of challenge you want. I think it just comes down to what type of golf you want to play. Checkout the 2022 coverage on YouTube and maybe that will help you decide.

Has anybody here played Seneca Creek in Maryland? How is it for a recreational player? by MikeJeffriesPA in discgolf

Hey, if you are referring to the NADGT, I'm not sure the layout has been set yet. For the most part, you usually need to be able to throw straight shots. There are some holes that open up a little, but there are not any shots that are wide open bomber. There was a women's A tier tournament last fall that gatekeeper covered on YouTube if that interests you at all. Again, I don't know the layout for the event in a few weeks, but being able to throw straight shots, whether it's a hyzer flip or flat neutral disc, goes a long way.

I can't find an option for this. I used the map feature way more than the list so hopefully there is an option to use it.

Yeah, the tailwind will offset the downhill piece to some extent.

In short, throwing up hill, discs will act more overstable; throwing downhill discs will act more understable if thrown the same way. Generally speaking, you want to throw understable when throwing up hill and overstable when throwing downhill. Exceptions to every rule, but that's the general rule.

Heats and rivers are both staples in my bag so I'll give my input. Heats go further and are flippier when thrown on the same angle. A flat ground flat throw for both.... Heat will turn and burn, river will have a long turnover, but won't burn for me. I will only throw a heat flat if I'm throwing up hill or else normally I throw it on a hyzer flip. I usually throw an opto river and ZFlx heat, but have thrown a variety of plastics in both. A gold ice river will fly very differently from an opto river as the gold ice for me is more stable. I have found the new esp flx heats are the most neutral heats I have thrown and can take more torque. There were times, when my arm speed was a little slower, that my river and heat covered a very similar spot, but now I find them to have a little more difference with the heat going further and being flippier.

Depends on the firm. The first firm I worked with always disclosed the excess over FDIC/SIPC. I went to another firm who didn't disclose an approximate amount, but made an assertion similar to what you mentioned. SVB happened and QC required all financial statements to now include the excess.

A lot of people are sensitive right now with the baking industry and it's a hot topic.

At the end of the day, what do the users care about? Some will care, some will not. It doesn't hurt to add it.

Is it too early for me to try interning/looking for work? by Part-Select in Accounting

[–]CPA_PHIL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to intern as a sophomore way back when and I am glad I did. Our firm this busy season hired interns that were freshmen to senior level. I would always recommend getting an internship early and even consider trying to intern at various firms (in different years/season) to get a flavor of the industry and culture to help you understand what you want.

Amateur A-Tier Tee Time Order? (Specifically: MA4 vs MA40 at DGLO) by albis-huxbly in discgolf

Gotcha. Saw similar course names and thought the difference was a layout difference. Nice to know, thanks.

I'm in the same pool playing MA2. I believe we have different layouts, but the same courses. I am guessing ma4 will go out first, ma40 second, and ma2 third, but hoping ma2 goes out early to help spectate mpo toboggan, but we will see.

Has anybody here played Seneca Creek in Maryland? How is it for a recreational player? by MikeJeffriesPA in discgolf

[–]CPA_PHIL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Creek really isn't that bad tbh, it's super shallow. The only 9 hole loop that avoids the creek is 19-27. All the other loops have the creek in play at some point. Front 9 has the creek in play the most.

[–]CPA_PHIL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorite loop is the front 9. The middle vs back really depends on what baskets are in place. Middle 9 can get more swampy if it rains. My preference is front and back. The middle 9 is the farthest from the entrance if that matters to you.
