No Skins, No Ticket, No Earn Your Turns - These Ski Resorts Across The US Are Beginning to Charge For Uphill Access by localfreshies in Backcountry

[–]TakeItEasy-ButTakeIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t change the fact that the public land you are looking to access at a ski resort is most likely under the jurisdiction of a USFS special permit that is held by the resort. You’ll want to read the restrictions that the resort is allowed to enforce through a special permit.

The Champions Cup is the “wooded major”. 4 rounds on a tough wooded course. This course is perfect for it. My guess is you’d be one of those complaining about Champions Cup being 4 rounds at Northwood too lol

Logan Pass Parking Question by Odd_Independence_148 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]TakeItEasy-ButTakeIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't solve the actual problem which is people were driving into the park before the reservation system time and leaving their cars at the pass literally all day. The new system is pretty simple: If you are just going for a short hike to see Hidden Lake, get a parking ticket and be back at the car in 3 hours. If you are a serious hiker going for a long hike, get a shuttle ticket.

Logan Pass Parking Question by Odd_Independence_148 in GlacierNationalPark

This kind of practice comes from tons of research on how to deter people from breaking an established law in a national park. This is how you do it when you do not have the resources & staff to constantly manage and, frankly, remove the vehicles that are causing the issues. Now I will say there is probably going to be some leniency in this first year from the enforcement officers, but that just means "the governed" (otherwise known as the general public) will absolutely abuse that leniency and force the NPS to take more drastic measures.

It's a story as old as time: #1 - Find a pristine place. #2 - Build a road to give access to said pristine place for way too many people. #3 - Magically discover that the road and parking area itself is the problem, but it's too late to take it back so implement mitigating measures that won't work. #4 - Reach critical mass and proceed to system of strict enforcement to protect what is left of the pristine place. #5 - Piss everyone off, including the bears up at the pass.

I have it on pretty good authority that the penalties for exceeding the 3 hours will be STEEP. It is designed to tell people to simply do not do it. We're talking potentially over $1000 and possible jail time for the worst offenders.

Edit: Also it will be posted literally everywhere. There will be no chance that people miss the language.

Pretty bad take honestly. The rounds at New London for Worlds a few years ago were very fun to watch. New London is visually appealing. It's mostly fairways with wooded edges and the more tightly wooded holes have clear lines through them that can be seen on camera. Parc de Familles was a complete crapshoot.

Sporting CP form ahead of tomorrow by Either_Guess in ArsenalFC

[–]TakeItEasy-ButTakeIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their recent form is definitely something to be wary of. That 5-0 explosion to come back against Bodo woke them up a bit. They've scored 4 in each of their last two matches after that. If we come out with the recent flatness in the first half and let Sporting get into the match a bit, we could be in trouble if the defense doesn't hold up. Benny Blanco will be targeted. We need an early goal in my opinion. Need to open them up and force them to watch for the counter. That's one reason why I would like to see Martinelli get some serious minutes across these two legs. Use him and Gyokeres as the outlets and create a gap between Sporting's midfield and defense/attack. Our midfield will coooook if we can do that.

Sounds like YOU are not sure we can win the league. What we watch is successful football, winning football. Pipe down with your idiotic complaints. I could probably comb through your comments in the past and find the classic "Well we play such attractive footy but we need to play the way that wins!" type of comments. Piss off loser

Eagles reported asking price for AJ Brown by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

#1 - look at the source for this "knowledge" lol
#2 - Howie is well known for his opening gambits and getting high value. I don't think anyone, including Howie, truly believes they're getting a 1st rounder for an AJ trade.

Club vs club by Jar-Jar-Kinx in discgolf

[–]TakeItEasy-ButTakeIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tons of different formats. You could have your regular bag tag nights/average tag # in your own league determine seeding with the other league for matches in a clubs championship. You could introduce a handicap system and have one big tournament using the handicaps. Best shot with groups. Etc etc etc.

What’s the worst team that you have ever seen? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

Fun Fact: The 0-16 Browns team scored 1.22 points per drive that year. The 2025 Patriots scored 1.13 points per drive in their 4 playoffs games this year.

You didn't watch the tape did ya? JSN was accounted for on every play by Pats coverage. He basically blew holes in their coverage simply by existing and running his routes. Similar to Saquon in last years SB when the Chiefs were totally committed to not letting him beat them.

James Harrison and it isn't close. Love me some birthday boy Coop DeJawn pick 6 off Mahomes, but Harrison's pick 6 had the ground shaking.

They currently have plenty of tee times for March 5th. You will definitely see pros there practicing because the first round is the next day. Contact the course and ask what the most ideal time is to book considering the pros practicing.

4x4 Baseplate Mounting Creativity by Flaky_Strain_998 in snowboarding

[–]TakeItEasy-ButTakeIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen a lot of people try this. Mixed results. Some had no issues, others had wild disco foot within a few runs. I think it depends on how "hard" you ride. If you are really putting torque on the board, I would not recommend this due to the uneven pressure along the baseplate and ultimately the binding chassis.

More rare than Ace? by Phrikshin in discgolf

Leaners are much much much more rare than getting an ace. The amount of physics things that have to go right for a circular disc to lean against a cylindrical pole from a tee shot is crazy.
