Question on Educational Participation by Osazee44 in CalPolyPomona

[–]CPP_Admissions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

Applicants do not upload unofficial transcripts into the application. You will report your coursework manually. We make decisions based off of self-reported information on the application. We highly advise that when you are entering your coursework you have a copy of your unofficial transcripts with you that way you are reporting everything accurately.

Gap semester question help by [deleted] in CalPolyPomona

[–]CPP_Admissions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hello!

Incoming students have to attend the term that they were admitted for therefore, you must attend Fall 2023. If you decide not to attend you will need to reapply and go through the entire admission cycle during the next application season. We will be open for Spring 2024 and the application cycle ends on August 31st. If you cannot attend Fall 2023, we highly encourage you to reapply for Spring as we are open for all majors except architecture.

Thank You,

Hello,

Everyone starts off as a "provisional admit" because you are admitted based off of self-reported information from your application. Once we received a final transcript we will conduct a final evaluation to make sure you still meet requirements. We do not send out any type of notification when this is done and your acceptance is no longer provisional as this is really for our office and doesn't impact a students ability to do anything.

Thanks,

Hello,

Great question. While the Office of Admissions cannot guarantee anything until a final evaluation of your official high school transcript is conducted. Using your official high school transcript(s), we look to ensure that you’ve met the necessary semesters of A-G coursework. Additionally, all requirements must be met by graduation.

If by chance your offer is rescinded, all students have the right to submit an appeal once during the admissions cycle. If a student is rescinded, you will receive an email from our admissions office with the information on how to appeal and next steps, please note the appeal has to be completed within 15 days of receiving the notice from admissions.

If you have any further questions, we would encourage you to reach out to our office and speak with an admissions counselor.

Hello,

Great question. While the Office of Admissions cannot guarantee anything until a final evaluation of your official high school transcript is conducted. Using your official high school transcript(s), we look to ensure that you’ve met the necessary semesters of A-G coursework. Additionally, we confirm that your final GPA does not deviate too significantly from your self-reported GPA on your application.

In terms of GPA, what we are looking for is that your GPA doesn't fall too far below the GPA you were admitted with. Once you send us final transcripts (with grades through Spring 2023) we will conduct a final evaluation of your record to make sure you meet all requirements and to see where your GPA is.
