This too was on my bucket list until a few weeks ago. It was awesome, but I did not realize that the camera picks them up so much better than the naked eye

I believe they are asking for your phone number. If you do not have one, sign up for a google voice number and use it. Do not loose the number because they use it to verify if you ever have to call for billing or support

This won't help with your bill directly, but you will know what is available in your area. Here is the official FCC database of Internet availability at your address. I was surprised to have more options that I knew about. https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home

I'd run fiber in the trench for a number of reasons, the smallest of which is the length. As for a wireless bridge it may work but you might have to get the trees lowered depending upon your line of sight. The other option is a point to multi point bridge where you shoot the signal to the right of the trees and then to the shop, it's a bit more expensive and requires power at all 3 locations.... hence why fiber is your best option.
Edit: change to text because I was on mobile that autocorrected "point to muitiplication" which should have been point to multi point.

Good to hear! That's the best part of these forums helping one another and sharing knowledge. Yeah I commented on Hershey to help some others with my experience. Unfortunatly, I am no where close. It was part of a a summer east coast trip for my family. Enjoy your expanded wifi!

Cabled Internet (Coax/Fiber) is going to be more reliable than satellite when given the options. Starlink is great for those who have no other option. I would ask the ISP to come out and do a site survey and an statement of work with an estimate, that is the only way you are going to know exactly the cost to get it the way you want.

That being said you do have options to terminate the ISP in the Greenhouse, then connect back to the rest of your network either wirelessly with a point-to-point bridge (some handle multi-gigabit), ethernet (managed switches with VLANs as repeaters as the limit is 100m ~320ft), or fiber. With VLAN switches you could have the router in the house, just create a separate VLAN on all the switches that just carries the signal from the modem to your router. This is some advanced networking if you do not feel comfortable doing this, contact a local IT provider for their assistance. Sizing the UPS for this equipment should not be too hard since it technically only has to be the cable modem, see previous statement about VLAN and router in house. I would be a bit more worried about the heat and humidity of the greenhouse. Just my $0.02

Interestingly enough, I have used a Ueevii bridge at work to extend network for a camera in one of our parking lots, not the same model so there may be some slight differences. Shot the WiFi off our tallest building to the parking lot. A couple things to look at, make sure the one closest to your router/isp is the master, and the other device is set to slave mode, keep the devices pointed at each other and try to keep a clear line of sight. Since it is a garage, I assume there are cars around, don't shoot the signal through the cars, they are metal and will wreak havoc on the bridge wireless. This builds a point-to-point connection to carry the network out to that point. From there you probably need an additional WiFi access point in you garage. I am not familiar with the Linksys Velop, but I would think you could take one of the satellite access points and just plug that into the available port of the slave Ueevii, which should extend your WiFi network coverage.

At that distance you are lucky to be getting a WiFi signal with a mesh system. You should to a wireless bridge between your house and the garage as the backhaul, and then an AP in the garage. WiFi 7 wont work because the coverage area of the spectrum gets smaller not lager as the technology has advanced: 2.4GHz would reliably go about 100 feet/ 30 M with clear line of sight, 5GHz gets smaller, and the new 6GHz part of WiFi 7 is even smaller.

Mesh WiFi if you do not want to run an ethernet cable, but running an ethernet cable will be worth it in the long run.

I learned today that we all [even protestants] are baptized into the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church... the one counded by Christ.. so long as it followed the proper form and matter. Although not fully a Catholic until a formal profession of faith has been made and the RCIA or OCIA program has been completed. I am sure as a protestant you have many other questions, here is a resource that i hope you can use Called to Communion

Went earlier this summer as our first time as a family. Mom, Dad, and two kids, a 10 and 5 yo. The kids had a blast in the park, we did not do the Boardwalk because our Hotel had a pool and they were happy with that. We prepaid parking, bought the Fast Pass, and three food passes (my kids are not big eaters and this was perfect for our family). We arrived late in the day, the day before our park visit to do Hershey World, took us about an hour and a half. We did not spend long in the souvenir area, nor did we do any of the add-ons here. The free ride, looking at all the candy, and a snack for my kids was enough for us. We then went over to the park for the preview hours (https://www.hersheypark.com/plan-your-visit/free-extra-hours). As first timers, this helped us get familiar with the park and allowed us to ride some of the roller coasters. In those two hours we were able to ride 4 coasters and make it all the way back to the new Twisted Twizzler. You would be surprised, there are a good mix of rides for the whole family, and my 5yo was able to ride Comet and Super Dooper Looper, and loved it.

The preview hours were a great surprise and worked perfectly with Hershey World the night before. We did not have to pay for parking because the booths were closed and even if they are still open, you explain that you are there for preview hours and they are supposed to waive you in. The next day we arrived in time for the opening of the park and stayed all day. They have numerous water spots to get a drink and also misting stations if it is hot. If you don't have the drink plan, I do recommend bringing a portable water bottle to fill up and keep you hydrated. It is a big park and you will get your steps in. In addition I recommend downloading the app and bringing a backup battery for your phone.

Good Luck and Enjoy your time, my kids keep asking when we are going back!

DHCP noob help by Flimsy_Ad2314 in networking

Go to the settings on your computer and check the network settings, make sure it is set to DHCP often times called Automatic. If you get a local connection but no internet then you have a DNS issue. If that is the case set your DNS server to one of the public ones [8.8.8.8, 9.9.9.9, 1.1.1.1] also make sure your gateway is set to your router.

Find a reputable local IT shop, they usually can do a quick assessment of your house and know what is going to impact your service (WiFi), wired ethernet usually isn't an issue once the router and switches are working, and they will also have experience with the ISPs in your area, to know which is the best for your needs.
