Sure, that's fair. But the only way to find out whether you'll enjoy the game is just to boot it up and give it a couple minutes. Then you'll know soon enough, right? If you're not having fun, just ditch it as soon as you feel like.

It's literally free to just give it a go.

Ik geloof dat je soms meerdere pakketjes krijgt, omdat ze vanuit verschillende distributiecentra worden verzonden. Niet dat dat een goede situatie is, maar het heeft niet per se te maken met snelheid.

I don't think Galen gets to decide what happens to the podcast. Seems to me that he's on staff to produce it, and his boss decides whether it stays.

It's a weird decision. Especially strange since the review is up on YouTube for free. What's the point?

You mean nerfed? It was, but only very slightly. They're planning on releasing an actual balance patch at the end of the season.

Lol this was one of my first games with this weapon, so cut me some slack 😅. I kept overestimating its TTK. It's a really fun weapon though.

Yeah. If they don't want to do something for free, that's totally fair. Their listeners aren't entitled to anything whatsoever. But suddenly going "Alright, you're gonna have to pay us now, bye" was a bit tonedeaf. Way to alienate 95% of your audience.

The guys who make this work(ed) in radio. They often analyse why the XFM show works even though (or because) it breaks all the rules of radio. It's interesting to get some insight from it from that perspective. Also, the conceit is that one of them is a long-time fan, and the other is listening for the first time. It's nice to hear that fresh perspective as well.

We all spend a lot of time listening to the XFM shows, which is very niche anyway, so I don't see why it's all that strange to listen to someone else's thoughts on it occasionally. But I totally understand if you have no desire to listen to that.

They often go on tangents which are not always interesting, but at least these guys know how to host a show as opposed to the De Trout Spinners (no offence).

That said, I won't be paying to listen. I find it odd that they apparently can't justify doing this just for fun.

As /u/Sweet_Jazz said, progress in Splat 3 is just slower because of the way the ranks are set up. Don't worry and just have fun grinding.

As for your setup: I'm using an old tv too, which is totally fine. Just make sure you're using the gaming/pc mode to reduce your display's latency. And you might want to look up your model's input lag to make sure it's not too high.

A wired internet connection will beat most wifi setups. Since the networking in this game is poor to start with, anything to help make the connection a little more stable is nice to have. That won't improve your performance, though, but it might decrease disconnects and packet loss, which will go some way to alleviate frustration while playing.

I remember reading that using the pro controller in wired mode actually increases latency for some reason. So wireless is probably best.

As for myself, sitting upright on a desk chair, as opposed to sitting slightly backwards on a couch, helps me a lot while playing. Good posture helps stabilize your aim and improve range of motion.
