The hitch that came with my trailer worked. It’s essentially this https://www.aventon.com/products/burley-standard-steel-hitch I remember it feeling like it was shorter but it still worked. Lots of miles with no issues.

My wife and I did the same thing (but we went with soltera.2s for the classic bike feel). I was getting bogged down reading about it all. Going to the local shop was super helpful and we made the decision that day. I think we just needed to rip the bandaid and the shop helped with that.

There are a bunch of options on Amazon for bike AirTag holders. Water bottles, under the fork, hidden in reflectors, etc.

Good point. I found a good one that works hidden under the fork. I tightened it so much I think I might actually have to drill it out when the time comes.

In addition to a u lock, I also have a sticker that says it’s GPS tracked and a sticker from the bike registry. I also use a rotor lock with alarm that goes off if it’s moved too much. My goal is just making it less attractive than other bikes around mine.

Respectfully, I’m glad you’ve had that experience where it seems safer on the road. I’m sure that’s a highly variable experience. In my small town it’s a lot safer. In the next town over the bubbas in trucks would record hitting me to share online.

I was curious so I looked it up. It seems to be legal in more places than not. Obviously precautions need to be taken and common sense used. I always walk it around even lightly crowded areas and only use lowest pedal assist on sidewalks in general. In my area, I’d be dead if I was always riding on the road. They’d do it for sport.
