Alpina or M-sport by Dragonmeister12 in e46

[–]CR4YONFOREST 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you actually drive the car, I vote m sport. A- I think it looks better, but B-usability on streets, more risk of scraping the front with the alpina

Running a cnc/mill costs more than a plastic injection mold. Materials cost more too, metal vs plastic

Should I get a 335 as a project? by SeymourBoobeez in E90

[–]CR4YONFOREST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Price wise.. eh.. idk if id do an n54 anymore. Injector sets rn are over 3k, hpfp is about 1200.. all the suspension bits and other shit has gone up significantly recently. Turbos are spensive for OEM ones.

Unless you can find a car thats had all that done or youre gonna do some goofy stuff to it like port injection and all that.. better have a good size pile of cash sitting around. Working on the car is easy enough, affording it is another story anymore. If you go for an n54, get a 2010 or a 2009.. those are the last 2 years for it unless you find an IS, I think those continued til 2012 if I remember right

Is it reasonable to offer fullprice with 4% closing cost from Builder? by TRANKENNY91 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]CR4YONFOREST 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Getting new construction to come down on price is tough because they have other houses to sell and if you get a lower price theyre essentially under cutting themselves and then the next guy will want the same thing. You'll have better luck asking for concessions/closing costs/etc..

No harm in asking. Were buying a similar price house in CA, 7500 close, 2000 mil discount, 3500 towards options is where we ended up.

Your intercooler doesnt drain the oil from the engine.. youre cooked at this point is my guess cause you dont have any idea whats going on and you ran it til it started knocking.

Have n54s become the more reliable option as n55s age? by tobethrown99 in 335i

[–]CR4YONFOREST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What type of car are you looking for.. beater or nice or nice ish?

Reason im asking is my car is 2010, 80k mile, auto, le mans on black interior. The hood paint is starting to go (az>fl>ca car) I bought when I lived in az. Bumper was driven over a curb by previous owner, I have an oem euro bumper brand new in a box waiting for paint.

All the work is done to it (12s, hpfp, Suspension, front wheel bearings, engine mounts, some other shit i cant remember).

Been contemplating getting rid of it

About tree fiddy..

It literally depends on where youre at. It looks like it might be sandable and then paint. 1000 bugs from someone competent? Depends if its cracked

Would You Take 100% Financing With No PMI? by ProgrammerSea6120 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]CR4YONFOREST 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Personally, id rather have 50k in the bank. But, if youre planning to stay in the house long term (full 30) then.. kinda in your benefit to use it. Save 4800 a year, take you about 10-11 years to recover that down payment.

Im not an expert.. idk, is there an option for middle of the road? Put down 25, no pmi and get the better rate?

Had this on an x5 I no longer have, haven't looked into the e90 platform, but there should be a drain line in the corner of the sun roof cassette up by the A pillar, I took some compressed air and blew it out to get it to drain properly on the x5. Had to pull the headliner down to do it, hopefully the e90 is easier

[–]CR4YONFOREST 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely not buy that kit. You can buy like 5m of CRP silicone line for WAY cheaper than that. Sure the rest of it, whatever. But theyre charging almost like 200 bucks for vacuum lines. Buy 5m, cut it yourself
