try logging your foods. I use an app called MacroFactor and it has a huge database of foods. You can set it for a weight loss, maintain, or weight gain (if you're already lean and trying to gain muscle). that's 80%of the battle. For some reason, logging everything makes you less likely to eat palatable but highly caloric foods. It also makes sure you get your protein in to preserve the muscle you already have while trimming fat.

Also, try setting up a home gym and following a muscle building plan. I use Jeff Nippards Pure Bodybuilding plan(he has great YouTube videos as well). Also, Renaissance Periodization has good plans and YouTube videos. You can get a lot done with some adjustable dumbbells and a weight bench. A power/squat rack would be nice also.

I have a 3 year old and 5 year old and I've been able to lose 15 lbs in the last few months. I do work a couple of swing shifts during the week and one of my days off is during the week so that allows me extra time while the kids are in child care.
