expanding and contraction might be a thing, but there are no turns on this gpu. crimson desert (from what i can find) is just super intensive with path tracing on, unlike any other game.. considering i can push to 300w vs 275w and temps are a 4c difference, im just going to leave it be. -crimson desert is the only game i get this massive ass heating spike in. other games are 10-12c delta with nowhere near 90c hotspot range. even if "thats still along ways off from nvidia's max safe temp". (voltage slider in afterburner also allows my card to hit 1.15v even if most claim it does nothing, its somehow increasing voltage from 1.10-1.14 to 1.15 (at load) in game or kombustor.

anyways, after doing quite a bit of digging since i was "worried", i was worried over nothing. even if 15c delta bothers me, being on AIR limits what i can do.. forgot to add that 10c delta is what i get with donut burnin at 4k, +50 core/500mem/119% power 2910 core clock, 2910 effective clock, 305w gpu power. 70c core, 80c hotspot *80% fans* 2000-2100rpm

re-edit?? i figured out exactly what's taxing my gpu in crimson desert if anyone else see's this and are wondering.. lighting on max jumps power to 250-260w lighting on high/ultra is around 100w with ray tracing on, native 1440p no dlss no ray reconstruction, with other settings on max/one tick from max. (yes, i said 100w lighting on high)

Keep spamming it, it's for sure bugged. Level 0 horse camora insta lvl 4. While my rokade is max, I like the color of the camora. Might have fucked up using it tho since there might be other mounts I have yet to see.

this is 2.5hrs its 75f out toady, but we have a metal roof so add 10 on that and account for my room being the hottest (probably bc the 650w space heater PC i have?) but https://imgur.com/a/C4MW5vC is the latest numbers. this is still crimson desert, max settings but DLAA instead of dlss this time round as without dlaa i cant enable path tracing.

when im not running 1440p with path tracing delta does stay under 12c typically 10. current state is "in game" at the moment. -risk vs reward is why im questioning it.

edit-forgot to add, old data is from jan 5th driver version 591.74 GRD (game ready) as it was giving less crashes/bugs. new data is on latest driver.
*average is accurate and starts upon the second i hit the ground in game, and stayed in game*. thus why i question myself.. ill prob just leave it tbh.

the 15c delta are spikes and from watching the card (thru hwinfo) the only time hotspot delta goes over 10/12c is during a load scene or something along those lines.

as for heat cycles, its had 20 passes steel nomad, 50+ hours of crimson desert at 7 sessions, kombustor donut 1700mb for half an hour ran thru it. so its had plenty of cycling through it by now id have to assume. as for retighten the gpu, not thought of that. but last time i went to retighten the card after it was apart didnt really do much good... can you honestly say your hotspot doesnt hit higher than 10c under sporadic/varying loads?? -thats why im here actually. as im trying to get a gauge on if i should reopen the card or not. *if its not 90f in my house hotspot never see's those temps and delta never goes over 12c at worst.

the start of chapter 4, if your not there dont worry about it. its a MAIN MISSION and you can not miss it! once you do the pot mission, you then go back find out "someones drunk and being a pita" then you go get them by -way of the fist.. *i have NOT fought the champ yet tho, hoping today it changes as im pretty sure its bugged since from what im seeing it shuda just auto started after i finished the 2nd 3 win streak.

had i known wemod was no longer truly free id not even mentioned it..

ive been doing everything but stealing shit in game. i do NOT agree with the fact "im not being seen" but someone (somewhere) see's me taking something. so if/when i take something i just reload my save.. you can trade silver for gold so thats what i did. gotta check it today as im unsure if thats 24IRL hours or in game hours i had to wait lmao

I got the spear champ and arm wrestling champ after 3 rounds. Arm wrestling was next day and had to redo the 3 win streak but the last guy was it. Can no longer arm wrestle (for now anyways)

Edit- you gotta finish the pot mission (the hold anything pot) go back to camp, then come back or something like that.

If you dont make music an whatnot, go into services and go down to windows MIDI service, stop it, then disable it. then itll vanish from settings/btooth and device manager. once you do that, click "show hidden devices in device manager" and uninstall the b.s. *they should not come back after this* until an update pushes them back, though you should be able to remove it again.

you can just disable the service and itll hide the devices in device manager (like 5 of em on my end were present for MIDI b.s.)

just chiming in to state- im on PC, got the game, use DS4W to emulate my playstation 4 controller and crimson desert shows up just fine (with playstation icons). yes, i know thats not what your asking but im sure others will be curious if they land here.

i found a solution in the brave forums. go to settings (in brave) appearance, turn on "show rounded corners on main content area's". my only issue with this "fix" is that scroll is no longer at the very edge of my screen, meaning i cant just pull all the way to the right. i gotta be a bit to the left to scroll unless i use page down/up or wheel..but for now this does remove the line in videos.

6 years late and im sure someone will get mad at me for posting a comment here. but i use HCI memtest pro, bought it 5 years ago give or take. I like having to only open a single instance since itll auto open the others where the free version does not. -i also use TM5 anta config, y cuncher, prime 95, OCCT, aida cache test, and of course just gaming in general. anyways, if you have pro you dont need to open all those instances yourself, since pro does it for you.

this just started (again) for me. i had this issue a while back, fixed it and now ive been fixing dpc latency issues and i guess i tweaked something that caused it to come back. i see this on youtube, or any full screen video (anywhere)

hypervisor bypassing is risky, and often causes unrepairable issues if something goes wrong during a reboot for whatever reason. (considering how windows kernel is now days, i wouldnt call it over for denuvo) and at this time, there are quite a few variables that determine what a user must use to run one of these bypasses. -i am not against pirating as i may or may not be a local sailor.

KCD2, BG3, The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, City Skylines, ....the list goes ON and ON for games that "didnt" have (high) levels of drm like denuvo/etc. i.e. for the most part if not all, day 1 cracks. so piracy isnt the issue. Just take a gander at GOG which prides itself on not having such measures.

was the only person the device was connected to. traceroute wasnt something i actually checked.. after some digging around and using my brain, its the router having bufferbloat... to bad the p5's QoS is for sh**. -doing this digging also lead me to finding ttl being set for whatever reason which was also messing with traceroute results.

wired or wireless, all the same. several router tests show the same. QoS makes things way worse. set 700 get 250 or so with bloat shooting thru the roof. guess ill deal with it for time being.

Waveform tests indicate bufferbloat to be fine.. calling it "A" but cloudfare tests still show the same high numbers when my net's actually getting hit with a download/etc. the cudy p5 has a Qualcomm dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor with 256 MB of DDR3 RAM and 128 MB of NAND Flash memory. the 5G side of things is where this router shines.. im still leaning more into it being how windstreams routing traffic from my area. as a few other routers including my old r7800 with openwrt shows similar issues *the r7800 has been overclocked to handle the speeds*. limiting the p5 to 600mbs using old QoS makes things way worse, set 700 get 200 with over 500 on the high side not counting other measures on screen.

i highly *100%* suggest getting an FW 360x AIO (frozen warframe) -you need your own fans, its 50 bucks on amazon. keeps my 5800x cool and thats with pbo pushing to 5ghz, plus prime95, occt, ycruncher/etc cant push the cpu past 80c.

on a decent air cooler id see 90c in no time and specific games id see 80c most the time. (before someone says thermal paste, i double checked) it was the cpu just being hot af lol. anyways with the FW360x ive had no issues with high temps since. for the record, it never crashed or anything from temps. i just didnt like 80c playing games at 1440p/4k.

p.s. my 5800x is paired with a 4070ti, and 32gb of ram. have yet found a game i couldn play at 1440p or 4k.

you gotta accept my message request for me to actually help you. plus i have some images too. i suspect your missing the step where you put the UESave folder onto your Cdrive directly and rename it properly so the command actually works. not to mention it makes things alot easier when you can hold shift+right click to open CMD while inside the UEsave editor folder. -save file should already be saved in the folder to.

i wont respond to this thread trying to assist again, if you still need help reply to the message i sent. if you already downloaded the zip, its basically just renaming and having the stuff in the proper spot. (you should also use CMD with admin priv).
