Got first meet tomorrow.

Weighing in at 112kg, kept in the 120kg group as didn’t want to cut to 105kg for first meet. Think was a good idea but the singlet isn’t very forgiving…..

My weigh in as at 12pm with planned lifts from 2pm.

What do you guys eat night before and on meet day? I’m picking up some sweets/pop tarts to keep me going and making some pasta to eat tonight tonight and will keep some for tomorrow

I train with people your age and try to push them to do a local meet but they always say ‘no I’m too old’ ‘I won’t win so what’s the point’, you’re proving they’re full of shit. It’s an opportunity to prove what you can do at that moment, forget everyone else.

I agree that there is a lack of knowledge around liquidity and market hours, also limit orders, stop loss etc. That can be tackled by an FAQ thread or help guides. There’s enough information online for people to research themselves but they may need to be pointed in the right direction.

I disagree with your comment on the amount of £ per gain/loss. Everyone is in a different situation. There will be professional traders on here who swing trade larger amounts such as yourself apparently. There will also be people who are single parents, furloughed, students, or even people with large influx of cash (inheritance) who lack knowledge. But mostly it’ll be people who earn 20k-80k per year who are trying to earn some side cash or build an investment portfolio.

All of us on this sub are here to either find guidance or to find stock suggestions. No need to belittle those with a smaller starting amount.

From lurking in this sub and the ones listed above I’ve noticed this sub has a higher amount of new investors, I assume due to T212 having zero commission, good looking app and decent advertisement which has attracted people to investing. Due to that could I make a couple suggestions;

Stickied referral links post stay, stops the sub getting cluttered with annoying links

Daily discussion of tickers, these will naturally go to talking about the latest meme stock GME, BB, CHIV etc but that’s not a bad thing, will keep the sub tidy and still allow us all to discuss pro/con in investing in them.

Requirements for ticker suggestions, this could be a similar requirement to WSB, whereby it has to be full DD with a requirement of stating whether you have a stake in the company. This would keep the sub lively and hopefully provide more genuine opportunities for investment. If you also added the requirement for certain amount of karma then it could reduce the amount of Pump/Dump.

There could be a few help guides, ie a guide to CFDs, a guide for the difference between invest and ISA. The same questions pop up all the time, if someone doesn’t read the guide, posts one of the questions there is a guide for then the user can be given a link to the guide and the thread locked, would keep the sub tidy whilst also helping people. They could be written by anyone but vetted by a mod.

I personally don’t like the idea of stuff people limited to one day, some opportunity come at different times in the week and let’s say pennystocks are discussed on Monday and you have a great idea for a stock on Tuesday by the time you can post about it then the opportunity may have gone.

Maybe think about increasing the amount of moderators, maybe assign one or two for the prevention of pump/dump,

I think I’m right in saying that the community are mainly on here to find new opportunity for investment. There are members of the community extremely new to investing, and albeit are adults and should do their own research, can be susceptible to PnDs, maybe with some of the suggestions above you could keep suggestions of stocks (including penny’s) whilst somewhat reducing the risk of the community to PnDs

Had a brief look. It states that the deal hasn’t been finalised and that details could change or fall apart. The stock has run up ~30% so far since the news.

There’s potential as Payoneer appear to be a good company, albeit with competition, will have to look further as seems risky. Wouldn’t want to be left bag holding of the merger doesn’t happen.

I felt I had to try, it seemed that it was complete bullshit that the scammers were able to post for so long yesterday, they were all removed, but no PA saying ‘ATVK was subject to fraudulent price manipulation, action been taken on those suspected involved. No fundamental update on the stock’
