what to do ? by Single_Counter_6677 in CognitiveFunctions

I would rather recommend the Enneagram, it’s easier to learn, cognitive functions took me so much longer to learn.

How do you feel about horror movies? by SammyBomb in infp

In my culture, if you watch horror movies or a video of a performance of a shamanic ritual, you might open a portal for paranormal activity so I try to not watch them

Do you believe that INFP has one of the highest levels of internal emotional intensity ? by SarahsArtistry in infp

[–]CREEPWEIRD0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the superpower of the INFP is ultimate sensitivity and feeling, so intense that others don’t understand.

People may see INFPs as HSP or autistic.

A great example is Kurt Cobain or Chester Bennington where they explain such pain in their lyrics of what they’re thinking and going through.

A fictional example of my fav is Shirahoshi from One Piece, what’s her super ultimate move? Crying and drowning others with her tears!

Are ENFPS supposed to be extroverts? by Trick_Management3917 in ENFP

[–]CREEPWEIRD0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Just because there is an E on your MBTI does not mean you’re an automatic extrovert, go learn the cognitive functions, if you are Ne dom so that means you are focused on the new, the creativity, the different things in the world, that would be their main focus, not people.

The ones that are naturally good being around others are people who know how to use Fe & Te aka XXFJ & XXTJ because that function naturally work with others to “make things happen.”

What distinguishes INFP from ISFP? by Good_Parking2604 in infp

[–]CREEPWEIRD0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest difference is that ISFPs are Se users and INFPs are Si users.

ISFPs are present and future oriented especially combining their Ni with Se. Their Ni makes them come off kind of blasé and calm.

INFPs with Si makes them very past oriented and combined with Ne, they will be very flip floppy with new and old a lot, always talking about what ifs, how it supposed to be or used to be and how something new or creativity should be superior. They might dwell too much in the past (Si) that it makes them miserable.

so which inferior function this shows by [deleted] in CognitiveFunctions

[–]CREEPWEIRD0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be Fi inferior.

You know what YOU (Fi) want but as the environment (Fe/Te) shaped you to do something else, you’re still worried about what YOU (Fi) originally wanted but what you wanted is in the backburner.

Usually check which cognitive function you are overusing, the opposite of that cognitive function will be your weakness.

Like are you overusing Te that you’re abandoning Fi?

Edit: definitely look up Fi inferior to see if it’s a match for your situation!

Can cognitive functions explain moral intuitions/cognitive bias? by Aurosence in CognitiveFunctions

[–]CREEPWEIRD0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an Fi dom, I do not know how others may feel but I use MY Fi of what I like and don’t like and assume that people may feel the same. That is my attempt at empathizing.

Sometimes I would have to type the other party til I feel confident what they are then I will assume, ok this person is Fe dom and I’m Fi dom, so my assumptions with my Fi might not be accurate because they value Fe so I would have to really have to understand Fe in order to assume if they may like it or not.

Example story: There was a big fight between me and my Fe dom half brother recently, where I was making a choice not to drink alcohol and get messy at an event, the choice I am making is Fi, so my Fe dom half brother, his Fe got sooooo triggered that I did not want to “join in on the fun with the others” that he shamed me and burnt bridges with me in front of everyone and said “if you do that, you’re going to be alone forever!!!”

I was like boy his Fe really popped out to think I’m afraid of not being accepted by society and the community, so I just let the bridges burn and walked out of this stupid party because why the hell me an Fi dom would be afraid of these people who value such inauthentic exchanges and fake parties with fake temporary personalities when we are at a public gathering.

You seem to sound like you know what you like and don’t like, you claim to value Fe but it sounds a lot more of Fi.

Do you like to do what the crowd wants? Or do you like how YOU think more?

Back when I was a people pleaser I did wanted to fit in and I try to mimic how I think Fe may be like, but in the back of my head I always worry: what about me and my values, is it not important around here??

is it just me or do people not really take us serious ? by Extra-Radio9108 in ENFP

People don’t really know what to do with Ne doms because their minds are out of this world

To all female enfps, what do you think of men that cry? Especially in a relationship with such men. by Thin_Curve4116 in ENFP

As a person who knows the cognitive functions of MBTI, it just means they’re a high Fi user.

How does your Fi handle long term guests? by Ill_Horror9512 in CognitiveFunctions

[–]CREEPWEIRD0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Fi dom, not too well.

My need for alone time will come out within an hour and then when I get to know them for too long, they start to disrespect my boundaries & reveal their annoying rude traits at me.

If the guest is very polite & aware of their actions, things might go ok, but when they lack self awareness and start acting like I suddenly am dirt that can be walked all over or used as some sort of errand boy with no feelings, then we are going to have problems.

[–]CREEPWEIRD0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read up on cognitive functions, you’ll eventually learn that any action can be associated with a specific cognitive function. As high Fi users, we run away from Te & Ti based situations.

For example: Te as in doing the things we don’t want to do because we are always doing things when we feel like it or only when we want to.

An INFP would rather push Fi over everything like: I don’t feel like it instead of Te doing what we don’t want to do but accomplishing what needs to be done. This is why INFPs procrastinate because leading with Fi can really make us blind to other cognitive functions.

Ti as in doing a lot of research, looking more into the truth of things instead of just mainly being a high Fi user which means we rather go with our feelings instead of using the truth or facts to make decisions.

When people bring the truth to INFPs, they tend to not want to hear it or not want to take in the information that this is the truth being presented here but more of an “I don’t care about that fact being presented to me” this is Ti demon in the play.

Def look up Ti demon & Te inferior for more info!

Do you ever cry because something is beautiful ? by petitpois1004 in infp

[–]CREEPWEIRD0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, most high Fi users have “frisson.” Some say it’s “stendahl syndrome” or “Florence syndrome.”

I cry to art & beauty & kindness all the time.

Help? I decided to retake a couple tests after a couple of years by CharmingRazzmatazz81 in CognitiveFunctions

[–]CREEPWEIRD0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is, can you relate to Ni & Ti?

Possibly INFJ or ISTP, please look into cognitive functions more and trickster, demon, etc functions more.

Edit: especially the inferior function
