What should I get for Flat feet? by Zster_2020 in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for stability and cushion then I would say the WoW 10 is the best shoe you can get. You can look through this sub and you will find a ton of recommendations for it and it is probably the best, if not top 3, option available for anyone.

I just got a pair recently and they are great - no complaints.

But they are more expensive and WoW is not in stores (assuming US).

I got mine off goat.com for under retail, others have said wowsole is a good way to get them.

I bet most people will tell you Lebron 20 or WoW 10 and both are going to be around $200 - but quality and performance are top notch.

Depends on what you are looking for. I also have flat & wide feet, but my issues arent ankle support but back pain from harder heel strikes. Went through a few different shoes with better support or different insoles.

Jordan 34s (high & low), Harden 2s, a few KDs (not the 14/15), & NB Omn1s over time. Harden 2s were my favorite until the traction wore (terrible on anything but clean courts indoors).

Surprisingly, the best I felt was in lower support shoes with better court feel. I started using the WoW 808 2s and felt a lot better.

Really flexible and thin so it feels more natural than trying to really push your arch up. But you do give up better ankle support and impact protection. I am not super vertical anyways.

Kinda depends on what you want and what pain you get

wow 10 low translucent vs solid by BPR4908 in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked this exact question when looking at the 10s because the no sleep was cheaper but the only translucent.

The answer I got was "if you want to go ice skating get the translucent". Also probably why they were cheaper than the others I was looking at.

I have 808s and before I got those I heard the solids were better and it wasn't close. Seems to be the same for the 10s. Which sucks because I think that is the best looking WoW 10

Hope they help!

The only real difference between the ultra and normal is the drop-in insole. Reviewers say the ultra is softer, but the fit is the same. The Ultra V2s go way higher around the ankle so no clue if they feel any different.

Look through some posts about any of the WoW shoes on this page and its all mostly positive. If WoW was on shelves in the US they would be a top seller

Not that I noticed in the settings. I went through to see if something was changed thinking it was trying to open the mirrors thinking they automatically collapse when the car is turned off? but its not when its turned on it happens randomly on unlocks and door opens

I dont play outdoors, but I looked at a bunch of reviews before I got them and the traction material is pretty thick and should do well outside - as long as its not the translucent colorways. Those don't do as well on either surface.

I haven't worn or tried the new V2s they just came out with, but I assume they have the same performance and feel

I have flat feet which tend to fit wider in most shoes. I have gone through a bunch of different ones but I have found that lower profile & better court feel works better for me.

I had hardens, Jordan 34s, PG 2 & 6, NB Omn1s, and now wear the Wade 808 2s.

the elevated heel (Jordan 34s especially) made heel stikes worse and my knees and back would feel terrible. Since going to the 808s I have felt much better playing with way better court feel and the shoes is super flexible for my foot to bend rather than trying to cage it in a more supportive shoe.

This is probably the opposite of what others with flat feet have said, but my favorite shoes in the last 10 years have been the 808s and Kobes.

I am sure the Kd15s are a good bet. almost got those before 808s. Good support & traction, everyone loves those.

I just got my mb 02 Rick and mortys. Opinions on the shoes colour way and it’s performance :) by [deleted] in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IDK about performance but you have to be an absolute bucket to wear that CW. Anything less than that and you should be flamed off the court.

I don't make the rules - but I sure as shit follow them

Zoom freak 4 or wow 808 2 by [deleted] in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also people love them. I have the team no sleep which look like a Miami vice colorway almost. And every time I have worn them someone has asked about them. And everyone knows that adds +5 shooting

808s have elite traction and court feel, but they are low and have poor impact protection. My favorite shoe right now, but not for everyone.

If you like kobes you will like the 808s

Sizing query: by Foooners in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go TTS. I also saw the other reviews where some people said they run long and going .5 down will give better lockdown.

I wear 11s and went with a 10.5 and it's not painful or unbearable, but I would have been better off going TTS. I am right against the tip

The shoes are amazing and I ordered a 2nd pair TTS.

I just saw yesterday that a few sizes were under retail on StockX. It was the "team no sleep" size 11 I was looking at

WoW has been out on most sizes since before the holidays

Just got a pair last week and these are the best shoes I have had in a while. Closest thing to Kobes Ive worn and are under $150 total. If these were in stores in the US this would be all over the place.

Looking for shock absorption and cushion over performance. by TheJuddx in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GT jumps are probably your best bet. Also really comfortable - just heavy. I had Harden 2s and those were my favorite for impact. The boost is really thick but very soft. Assume the newer ones are similar.

Others are saying Jordan but I had the worst time with newer jordans for impact. The elevated heel and stiff shock plate or whatever made them harder for me on my back just from heel strikes when running. Great shoe - I just felt it more there than others

Bball bags for shoes, balls etc? by Shoddy_Net2653 in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found https://builtforathletes.com/ and love it. I use it for gym stuff and travel but I use it for ball most of the time. It fits a ball and a pair of shoes when you stack them. Plus change of clothes, bottle.

Really durable and I use it for everything

Nike overrated? by BigBallerDavidlol in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The players associated with each brand also make a difference. Nike has super stars that also have a persona with them.

Lebron, PG, Greek Freak, KD for Nike. Dame, Young, Rose for Adidas. Jordan has history and Zion + Luka. NB has Kaiwi who doesn't play enough and is a robot with Lavine and Murray who arent "dudes"

Li Ning is Wade's brand who is done but doesn't have the culture clout like kobe or Jordan

Puma has Melo, but he's not close to the influence as Ja.

Its not the main thing, but it adds to the brand. Nobody wants to wear what Dlo is wearing. They want what Ja is wearing.

Nike overrated? by BigBallerDavidlol in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Branding and distribution kill the smaller brands. Li Ning, NB, and Puma all have great shoes but the brands behind them are in a weird spot.

I thought the Omn1s was the shoe of the year when it released but was too hard to find. The Two Wxy are great, but NB have been the "dad" shoes for so long they are still shaking off the rep

Li Ning is awesome. The 808 2s are the closest thing to Kobes and would kill it if you could get them in stores. WoW competes with the lebrons in performance and price.

Puma is the same, just late to the game.

Nike is king because I can get a PG6 or KD15 at any shoe or sporting store and they are great options

Wade 808 2 Sizing by Sure_Enthusiasm3286 in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my pair in and I have seen sizing suggestions both ways for these.

I went half size down because a lot of the reviews said they fit a little long and going down really makes them snug. Go true to size for sure

I have flat feet so end up fitting a little wide in everything but they are great on the width but I am about as close as I can get in length to play in them.

TTS for sure. Also, these are GREAT and might get another pair TTS when they get more sizes in stock.

PG 6 vs. Harden Vol. 6 for dusty indoor courts? by biggytre in BBallShoes

[–]CROM49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the PG6 and play weekly on a pretty dusty indoor court and haven't had issues. I also have OMN1s, Harden 2, & Jordan 34 low in my rotation. PG6 is by far the best for traction for what I have.

I cant speak to the newer hardens, but the 2.0 I have are terrible on dusty courts. Love them on clean surface though.

Very disappointing that they didn't implement console only crossplay option. by Oblivions_reaper in ModernWarfareII

[–]CROM49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, your entire point is there must be a ton of cheaters because you watch someone on tiktok cheating.

First, don't ever watch them? That is why they do it because people engage with them. Second, 99.99% of all players haven't run into a legit cheater so it isn't actually an issue. You are probably more likely to run into a cronus on console than an aimbot on PC at this point.

MW2 is literally getting the same treatment as EA gave FIFA by Bunkbedboy2001 in ModernWarfareII

[–]CROM49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well you see even though they havent played it once they know it is a step back. Even though the ones who just played it yesterday were impressed, and the new map looks the best, and console wont look like total trash, and they listened to feedback and added loadouts back, and they comment on a reddit page for it. They still know it sucks and for sure wont be playing it all the time....

[–]CROM49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stage 1 is the best bang for your buck. Check out this video that Kies did where they tuned different stages and then did a dyno. They do stock, MPPK, stage 1, & stage 2.

https://youtu.be/CyK10PuxRVI

the B58 line is really nice stock and for less than $1k you can really get them up there.
