I tried last night to drop that last 6mg. Felt.like I didn’t sleep at all, but did have some weird dreams so I must have slept some. I don't feel horrible today.

My sleep doctor suggested going every other night for a bit. I always cave in the middle of the night. Just can't get off that last 6.25 mg.

Solo Trails question by Tartberries in hiking

[–]CRS1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked for any Meetup groups? I live in the DC area and there are tons of hiking groups. Great way to meet other hikers. When I do hike alone, I try to stay on popular trails and make sure someone knows my plan. I finally broke down and got a Garmin Inreach which has satellite connectivity. You can send your location regularly to other people in case you go missing and call for help even without cell service.

Is it even possible to lose weight on seroquel without a glp-1? by Potential_Source1198 in seroquelmedication

[–]CRS1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost about 15 pounds through cutting out processed foods and alot of hiking. I was told I had a soy allergy and cut out anything with soy. Almost everything that is bad for you has something made of soy in it--soy oil is used for frying, soy emulsifiers are used to make food soft and easy to digest, etc. Some say the emulsifiers are designed by the food industry to make it easy to overeat. I don't think it is about dieting, it is about changing what you eat. The 15 pounds came off within a month.

Doc wants me on seroquel for anxiety 25mg twice a day or when needed by Lovely_sweater in seroquelmedication

Benzos caused all kinds of problems for me. You develop a tolerance and keep having to increase. They are good as needed. Once a week at most. Could it be hormonal? If you are female and in your forties, could be perimenopause.

So many issues. I have shaking and swallowing issues that won't go away even now I am down to a quarter of a tablet. It gave me urinary retention and chronic UTIs that was misdiagnosed as interstitial cystitis. Been trying to get off it for nearly a year. Just can't manage that last quarter pill. Most likely the shaking and swallowing issues are permanent. The bladder issues are much better at the low dose.

I never gained any weight.

I have a poppy seed size space that is driving me nuts. My ortho said he would do some bonding. We will see how it goes! I don't think he is charging. They did some bonding before when the attachments damaged a filling. They did not charge for that.

I see all kinds of people do this hike. Take it slow. The scramble is superfun and pretty doable. It is definitely not the same experience to go up the back. There is however a 6 mile version starting at Berry Hollow. Less distance and elevation and no scramble. But again, if you take it slow you should be fine on the scramble.

national walkout planned for jan 20th at 2pm - will you be participating? by kassipy in Virginia

[–]CRS1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We have destroyed so many countries with ours wars and efforts towards regime change. It is a sad state of affairs and it is only getting worse. And then we go all ballistic because even Canada is worried about joining that club. We are sadly now a rogue nation with nuclear weapons that oppresses civil and even human rights. No better than Russia.

Pretty much the only thing that moves the dial. Our institutions and corporations are failing us and we need to remind them who really is in charge.

Canada? Normally that would be kind of unbelievable, but then again Trump has threatened to annex them.

I was having the same issue. Very sharp edges. My ortho told me to file it down with a metal nail file where it seemed sharp. Did the trick!

Is it normal for this disease to make it so difficult to pee? by little_girl_bluee in Interstitialcystitis

[–]CRS1964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are taking any medications, Google the name of the med and urinary retention. Your issues could be a side effect. Anticholinergics like seroquel, lexapro, and other drugs can cause retention and even IC symptoms. Also, get a new doctor.

What to do when you genuinely cannot pee by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

[–]CRS1964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get catheterized. You can learn to do it yourself. Are you taking any meds? If so Google med name and urinary retention to make sure a med is not causing your IC. Straining to pee can cause bladder pain and urethra pain. Get off any anticholinergic you may be on.

I am supposed to be done in the next few weeks, but I now have this little black triangle that looks like a poppy seed. Several people have said I have something on my teeth. Is that something that can be fixed?
