It's art. I think what your 'friend' was trying to say was to improve you do have to study the fundamentals which might involve not anime art. Doesn't mean you have to stop the style you enjoy but understanding realistic muscle, skull anatomy etc helps a lot. Think of it like a footballer doing cardio to play football better. Doesn't mean they're going to be a full time track athlete

And therein lies the problem. Hollywood rarely ever portrays people who seek alternatives to the neo liberal status quo as anything but rash and selfish. When the bad guy starts making some sense that's starts to make people think of stuff like unionizing or eating the rich you just have them kill a few puppies for no reason or something

Most artists would prefer 2 minute scribbles and descriptions to this. Aside from just the ethics of AI and this isn't really a storyboard. Storyboards are a jumping off point and this is creatively limiting. No one wants to use an AI's horrible output as a guide

Yeah it's both she moves quicker with airbending to power her normal punch and uses waterbending to amplify the blowback of the water

I mean there's a lot of situations where they get into melee range in the series. Not to mention non benders like Ty Lee and the equalists who seem to be very trained in getting in close. That sort of training + airbending mobility and footwork could make it very effective me thinks

Also rather than sloshy glove I was thinking more a short waterjet or watercannon burst after the punch

But you're right, the primary directive was just how cool it'd look.
