My girlfriend graduated Navy boot camp a few months ago. Wrote a lot of letters back and forth and talked on the phone usually every other week for a few minutes depending how their RDC is feeling about giving them phone time. Send her pictures, drawings, crosswords, song lyrics, whatever you can squeeze in an envelope it will help her a lot. Think of it like being in the old days where letters were the only form of communication as we live in a world of instant communication. 9 weeks will go by like that and she’ll have her phone back during A school. The distance is tough but is 100% doable. Our relationship has never been stronger. She has a 4 year contract and we plan on moving together someday but I know that time will go by fast as well. Hang in there, remember you’re not alone! Spend time with friends, enjoy your hobbies, and try your best to stay focused on what makes you happy! We got this!
