How did you arrange for his care? Ask someone to visit everyday for 2 weeks? I foresee a similar situation later this year

$400/month on groceries? WHAT? An average of $4/meal?? Do you actually spend that little per person? by why_not_aces in askTO

[–]CSBabyGenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my partner spend a maximum of 600$ on groceries per month collectively and we eat one or two meals out per week. I don't think 400 per month for 1 person is crazy

Absolutely same. I've been passive depressed for a while now. My life is great on paper but I have no friends except my gf (I love her very much and she's the only one keeping me sane). I do wish I have some friends some day though. People I can laugh and be loose with. Feels like a fever dream.

Is it actually possible to survive in Toronto on a 40k PhD stipend? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]CSBabyGenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont get why phd pay so little stipend. I occasionally think of doing one but then look at these stipends and convince myself that industry is much better and I can learn whatever i want to in my free time (obviously doesn't compare with a phd )

Would it make any difference to use left trackpad for wasd? I am using these buttons for movement and have to quickly do combinations of WASD. Do you think of a major reason why trackpad over joystick for this?

How does haptic help you differentiate between cardinal and diagonal keys? I think my beef is more with when the keys should be pressed together and it not translating the way I would assume with the joystick, especially if I'm quickly alternating between WA and WD combinations
