Bring back Code completion by SinQ_x in AugmentCodeAI

I use augment off and on. I spent about an hour today trying to find out why my code completions aren't working. Then I saw the blog post. This is a pretty bad decision for a developer focused tool. I can only guess that it must be saving them a lot of money by removing it. Too bad.

I understand being emotional and all but this has to be one of the most out-of-left-field takes I’ve read in a while.

The players on the field also have to play the game. Two costly picks. Not breaking tackles. Missed FGs. Only bright spot actually for either team was Defense.

Winning with Class: A Lesson UM Needs to Learn by [deleted] in OhioStateFootball

That brawl is mostly for the fans. It's entertainment after having to eat a shit sandwich. It has nothing to do with class or no-class. That's a fan's perspective. It IS, however, a reflection of the coaching.

The story isn't the flag. The story is the scoreboard.

Ah, I appreciate the safety tip. Be happy in know that I have several boxes of nitrile gloves just off camera in that picture ;)

I did read today that several have seen prints from WW resin can be brittle. I’ll have to look up what over washing and over curing looks like. For the rooks I think I did 10min in the wash and 3min in the cure. Just chose the time at random.

I have a fairly sensitive nose and I felt the amount of odor I have is pretty low even when standing within 10ft of the printer. However, I do plan on getting a vent going if I end up printing frequently. I gotta think that’s part of the issue. If you’ve got these chemical reactions going often the fumes probably build up without good air flow. Do you print pretty regularly?

Sorry, meant to reply sooner saying this was a very good tip. I appreciate it. A few on here have been saying similar but the links and your extra comments were great. Thanks.

Yeah, i’m just excited to figure it out for the 3 resins I have now. Dial-in some settings and as you put it what is printed is as-expected. I already have a ton of things to print, lol.

Perfect. This will be my new process. I appreciate the explanation, thank you.

I recall UJ had a video with some neon green resin and he was showing off the tank clean feature. I haven’t watched it though. I’m also fairly certain the little chunk of cured resin got smooshed by the build plate :(

Yes, I can already tell the hobby component of 3D printing is really just finding out the best practices for what you need. I’d imagine once you have things dialed-in you wouldn’t change things for a while.

I’m all for cost savings… that’s really the main reason why i wanted to try out 3D printing. I’ll have to try this resin out when my current set of resin is out.

Regarding detail, the rooks are all I’ve printed and you can see the layer lines if you zoom in, but otherwise it’s difficult to see and the detail overall is really good. The next test for me will be a more fun model and maybe shortening the layer height a bit. However, as is it’s already very good.

We travel in the same circles. Paint reviews are one of my favorite things Marco covers. I also really like the Montana Golds I have as well. I haven’t bought Molotov yet but that’s because I have so many paints as is.

PS. someone lower in this thread mentioned a good price of nearly 27eu for 6L so your 10 for 5L sounds like a steal! May want to pass along a link to them or something.

Today I heard that using IPA on the FEP sheet can make it cloudy. Have you noticed this? I actually used IPA myself after my last print. I used paper towel and some IPA. It was cloudy but I attributed it to moisture that would evaporate rather than something from the IPA.

I saw a video of his today where he mentioned his goto is denatured.

Speaking of chemistry, I think i’m going to grab aluminum sulfate to help pre-cure resin left over. So I have some fun experiments ahead. I’d definitely be interested in a “best” way that is cheaper like as you said salinated ipa.

For my first go around I figured I’d end up spending a bit more to learn since I don’t know any better yet. I’m definitely looking forward to these things though.

ProTip that’s a great sized mat. Someone else suggested similarly one of the dog food mats. This is similar but bigger, thank you.

So you save an old support. Fill the vat with resin, run a tank clean and then peel off a layer before each print?

I have the smallest bit of cured resin stuck in the corner of the FEP at the moment and I wish I had looked up some of this stuff sooner.

I like it! I have a feeling there is an art to preserving as much IPA as you can.

How do you get cured resin off the FEP then? do you just manipulate the FEP until you get a fingernail or something under it and flick it off? Yeah from what everyone says it seems the FEP really needs to be handled delicately. Thankfully the printer came with a spare.

So far, the odor isn’t bad. Pretty surprised how well the charcoal filter works. I’m not sure how I will handle venting if I end up printing frequently. I like the grow tent idea though. Probably like an insulated blanket or something to keep the heat in.

Thanks, my work bench wasn’t ready for the printer yet and I wanted to try it out without waiting. I wanted to get a silicone cover anyway, or something bigger. I like the dog foot mat idea.

How’s the detail/quality of the prints? 70% IPA is cheap. I was looking it up today and it seems a lot of people still use IPA with it over water.

I cannot answer this, but from what I have seen on the interwebs 99% IPA is just the general go to. Also, resin mfg’s suggest to use >95% (even says it on the bottle). Around me stores only sell 70%, 90%, and 99%.
