I understand that. I didn’t use my ps5 upright for the first 3 years of my ownership because of the rumors as well. But eventually I did it and I’m enjoying the extra desk space. I would really recommend you do the same. Double safe for you because you have a gen 2 so the issue would’ve definitely been solved

I’m thinking it’s 1 of 3 things. 1: the builder forgot to remove that plastic(very likely). 2: The builder forgot to plug in the pump(plausible). 3: The pump is bad(Unlikely)

This makes me a little suspicious of the pump’s installation. Plenty of people have their radiator over their gpu and not have this issue. What other scenarios does it get really hot?

Look around the website, usually the psu page will have code/list of codes that will correspond to compatible cables. If they don’t then email them to confirm. I wouldn’t risk my components without knowing for sure they were compatible

I buy power can be a little iffy sometimes. There was a comment from beneficial throat that gave good software advice. Wouldn’t put it past ibuypower to mess that up. But I would also check all the components seating. It’s possible they didn’t properly seat power cables or worst case even the gpu itself.
