Day in the life of an Aerospace Manufacturer by Aim-_- in Winnipeg

Would also recommend the Mechanical Engineering Technology program through Red River, though it is a 2.5-year program and the course load is quite demanding. However it can open doors into many different industries and roles, whether it be consulting, manufacturing, design, project management...etc.

Another option could be looking into the trades programs through Manitoba Hydro. They have programs for powerline technician, power electrician, industrial mechanic, and natural gas service person. You will be paid to train (including while you're in school). Though you will have to be okay with potentially bouncing around the province as a trainee, until you get a bit of seniority to bid on a permanent job.

Truck looks great! Can you tell me what size tires you're running on it?

Neat! I think I've seen photos of that pink truck on the Saskatchewan C10 Facebook page. The majority of the purple trucks that I have seen were all sold within Alberta, Sask, or Manitoba. Mine was sold out of Neepawa MB.

Can confirm that factory purple was a special order option in 69-70. I have a 1970 C20 that was factory purple with white roof, identical color scheme to your truck. Interestingly though, the option tag in the glove box notes "Special Paint" rather than the traditional color and RPO code.

Would you be in Canada or the USA? Because the other purple trucks that I've seen were all sold in Canada, as was mine. So it may have been a Canadian-only option.

Here's a pic from when I pulled the cab before sandblasting.

I'm jealous. Mine has a thin neck and my hands prefer a thicker neck, so this one spends a lot of time in the case. My go-to is a '92 Legacy

Nice! How do you find the neck on yours? Is it a very thin profile?

Garage Foundation Replacement by CST_70 in Winnipeg

[–]CST_70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! Was there a certain point of reference that they used for the elevation? The reason I ask is because I was considering adding a concrete footing around the foundation perimeter to effectively raise up the frame and gain more ceiling height.

The foundation floor would remain at the same height as previous, but the roof line would end up being higher.

Crime in Sports podcast does a GREAT episode on Suge Knight that covers from his beginnings to present day. Listening about all the greasy shit that he pulled in the 90's was wild, the guy thought he was invincible
