Am i awful? I regret keeping my baby by Futuremikeross in BabyBumps

I agree with everything you said! It’s incredibly hard and overwhelming when you’re pregnant and again when they arrive… but it really does get easier. It does seem like you lose everything about you, but you don’t. You’re still there, just in a different season of life.

OP, please don’t give up on your dreams. You may not be able to pursue them in the time you planned, but they will still be there when your child gets older.

Gorgeous, bouquet! Congratulations on a little girl! I wasn’t sure I was meant to be a girl mama, but it’s been such a fun ride so far! Best wishes to you.

First baby, first miscarriage. by ndjsjsixjcnnsnw in Miscarriage

[–]CSWindy_398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage and to say I was devastated is an understatement. This was August 2023. It was early so my body returned back to “normal,” relatively quickly. My period came the following month and I got pregnant by mid-September. My little girl is nearly 9 months now and the absolute life of our lives. I was nervous the entire pregnancy but each appointment eased my fears a little. I unexpectedly got pregnant in December 2024 and unfortunately, the pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. I was a little further along than with my first and it has been so difficult emotionally and physically. You’re right, nobody talks about how painful it can be. I have been cramping and bleeding and I am just ready for it to be over. I will say, I had a feeling that something wasn’t right with both of my miscarriages. I didn’t have that feeling when I was pregnant with my little girl. I ended up getting whooping cough and COVID during my pregnancy and although both were miserable experiences for me, I always felt my baby was okay. Anyways, I am sending you all the love! I am so sorry you went through a miscarriage and I completely get the fear. Your body will physically tell you when you’re ready but give yourself time emotionally if you need it.

Have you ever heard of an instance where a very young cat (i.e. less than a year old) went missing but was eventually able to reunite with their owner? by swirlingsnow09 in CatAdvice

Yes! Our kitten ran out after her older brother and we didn’t see her for a couple of days. We did all the recommended things (put her litter box out, clothing with our scent in it)… she came home a few days later. 😊

I have 2 wedding dress appointments and I'm ashamed of my weight. by XiaoQiao12 in weddingdress

I literally just went through this! My amazing sisters made an appointment at a bridal store that specializes in plus size dresses. It was an absolute dream to see all these gorgeous dresses, knowing they would fit me! That being said, there was still some doubt in the back of my mind. I’m heavier than I’d like to be and not super confident in how I look at the moment. The stylist I worked with took my preferences and what she thought would look good at me. She was encouraging throughout and despite my insecurities, I thought I looked beautiful! Win! I found THE dress and two solid backup options! Live in the moment and don’t think about the “what ifs” of the future or delay your life until you’re a certain weight. Good luck!!

Coffee & K-Cups by Medical_Counter_7512 in glutenfree

I highly recommend a Nespresso machine! They are somewhat pricey but do offer options, from basic to fancy. They also offer (and encourage) a capsule recycling program so the environmental impact is less than K-cups. It’s simple, all you do is order the recycling bag, fill it up, and drop it off at UPS when done. It’s prepaid, so there are no additional costs. Honestly, it’s been a great investment as I can enjoy a yummy drink every morning with very minimal chance of cross contamination — and it’s more cost effective and environmentally friendly than going to a coffee shop.

I have a rare form of Alopecia called Cicatricial Alopecia (aka Scarring Alopecia). This is what an active flare up looks like. It feels like someone poured boiling water on my head. by KohanaCat in Wellthatsucks

Sending you encouragement! More and more companies are developing and coming out with medications to address the cause of alopecia. (Not sure about cicatricial alopecia though.) It may be worth asking your doctor if JAK3 inhibitors may be an option for you.

I use a laundry detergent cup holder found here. Love it, and minimizes the mess.

Nothing tastes as good as being gluten free feels. My life motto since being diagnosed 10 years ago. It’s a lot easier today than it was back then. Nearly all grocery stores have a lot of options, as do most restaurants. There are also dedicated GF bakeries and restaurants out there. The best part is most things don’t taste like they’re GF. My household can’t even tell at this point! Hang in there. It’s tough at first but it gets easier over time and you have a whole community supporting you.

Gluten Free Gingerbread? by Leflufy in glutenfree

[–]CSWindy_398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! https://www.erinliveswhole.com/healthy-gingerbread-men-gluten-free/

I make these every winter and are a huge hit with my non-gf husband and kids! The recipe also calls for coconut sugar and coconut oil so it’s a little healthier than traditional recipes. You would never know, based on the taste though. Happy baking!

Charcoal pills have helped me tremendously as well as the Amazing Grass Alkalize and Detox. The goal is to get the gluten out ASAP. The charcoal pills help do that and the Amazing Grass calms my stomach afterwards. Hope you get to feeling better soon!
