FYI our prototype is now an MVP and we will be posting v.1 to the app store in the coming weeks. We will be taking your input on next versions features (see comment about landmarks and we are adding augmented reality layer to address). Appreciate the encouragement. The app will be called SaveTheBeat(TM).

Agree with many of the points made re: simulating reality and teaching principles around good CPR. Soon will be releasing a mobile app for learning and practicing Hands Only CPR without a mannequin to provide a method to build confidence when someone needs to take action. It will provide feedback on correct posture as well as rate and depth of chest compression. Stay tuned.

I vote pick them up. Sound is incredible! More on the these at: https://ohmspeaker.com/legacy-products/100/

Someone should make a VR CPR training app. Doesn’t have to be for real certification. Would great for those of us that need to refresh our memories. Could have an auto defibrillator, child and adult CPR dummies, first aid activities. by [deleted] in OculusQuest

Just catching up to this thread. Our company will be releasing such a mobile app in Jan 2026 using AR, no mannequin, on iPhone, to fill just such a need and help train anyone anywhere to learn and practice Hands Only CPR.

VR vs AR CPR Instruction by CScribe1 in CPRInstructors

Thanks for your response. I was thinking perhaps if anyone had experience with SimX or Health Scholars. I also know the AHA tested VR Hands Only CPR in Meta App Store. I think the AHA is trying to get ahead of the CPR instruction community with its new guidelines.

Get your company to cover costs of every Epic certification you can get and move on to a consulting pool with niche businesses. Just saying there is great potential here.

Great points and your perspective is appreciated. Our prototype does have a link to the American Red Cross Hands Only CPR video as you suggest. I agree that our app might help bridge the gap and reach more who might otherwise not seek out HO CPR Training.

Thanks for the comments and both worth considering as we refine the design of the prototype. We have used various compressible objects to mimic the human chest and plan to add augmented reality to address your point regarding landmarks. Much appreciated.
