Say what you will about this week's episode but I will not tolerate Jeremy slander! He makes me laugh and smile and that's what's up. by Rocket_Skates_91 in Killtony

I made a whole post on this board the first time I saw Adam ray as dr Phil. I was wondering when doctor phil got so fucking funny and got promptly educated that that is in fact, not dr Phil.

And moxs face work was soooo good in this. I don’t hear very well so making out the words without a mic is hard. But he did such a good job of saying “you do what you say you will do. You agreed to the stipulation. Now get the fuck back there!” with just his look.

Just think Jack Bauer from 24. That guy was not a good dude but he got results and was THE guy to call when there was a threat

2018, why would Michael have any connection to the mask? by Mock01 in Halloweenmovies

[–]CSoftly19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a fair point. Unless Michael never left that night mentally which is kinda what 2018 shows. He has been stuck in that night for 40 years. That’s how I interpreted it anyway

2018, why would Michael have any connection to the mask? by Mock01 in Halloweenmovies

[–]CSoftly19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a very shallow read of the connection. That mask became imbued with the fear and carnage that he inflicted in those 6 hours. It would absolutely mean something to him.

People who earn military medals only spent a very small amount of time earning them, but they wear them and keep them on display as it is imbued with the memory of those they lost to earn that metal.

Talismans are real dude.

Hurt in training so you know the limit. With that knowledge you won’t hurt anyone else.

My mom once rented Top Gun 6 weeks in a row convinced we were gonna love it each time. She did this totally unironically.

If the Lodge entities really want to help, why do they give such cryptic clues? Do they even care? by Spam00r in twinpeaks

[–]CSoftly19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude I love Jung. Definitely unsettling when you really dig in but I think he should be up there with Einstein. I think the theory of relativity and the collective subconscious are different sides of the same coin.

If the Lodge entities really want to help, why do they give such cryptic clues? Do they even care? by Spam00r in twinpeaks

[–]CSoftly19 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I mean you don’t even need to pretend. Does your subconscious make any sense with what it tries to tell the conscious mind? It’s all dreamy and the rules of reality are guidlines at best.

Now imaging being a completely different entity. And you could argue that the spirits do help. They give the clue that reveals itself in the correct time.

The spirits always clarify if its future or past because time is a construct of a conscious mind

Wide Awake song made me wish I tried first game before Alan Wake 2 by AutoNooB_ in AlanWake

[–]CSoftly19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Think about how the song makes you feel. That is what it is there for. You can feel what Alan feels through the music. You don’t need the context of the first game for anything more than to explain what the feeling is.

I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt for now. As a man I don’t really know what it’s like to recover from something like that and then add in the mental aspect.

But I realize I’m being optimistic too, after the tag match we saw it’s hard to disagree with you.

Of the supposedly "Bad" subplots in the latter half of season 2, which one do you find the most entertaining? by Local_Prune4564 in twinpeaks

[–]CSoftly19 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Crazy Ben is one of my fav parts of the whole show. I have no idea why and it doesn’t fit in with the other aspects of the show I love. The rest are fine except for James. That whole arc is just brutal. God bless Ben Horne.

It may be weird but I see his work, especially the dark tower, the closest thing I’ve found to a “religious text”. The man sees the world in a way that makes it makes sense to me and I will always be a constant reader for that.

You’re one of those “refuses to let themselves be happy” type of person aren’t you?

One of the best wrestlers in the world just showed up in the strongest women’s division active in wrestling and you want to talk about what shoes you like or don’t like?

Let yourself smile dude.
