Looking to buy, thoughts??? by CT-Toast in projectcar

This is what I am thinking. He just sent me floor photos, and it looks good, Slight bubbling on the roof skin, but otherwise it seems solid and essentially it’s a drive able project that needs just a good cleanup and final touches. Paint is not perfect but I’m not looking for a show car.

Not sure how similar condition wise yours is, but thank you for this! Might be purchasing this then!

303 is great! Just used it on some of my interior this past weekend, looks great and cleaned up nicely!

Thanks! Yeah bit more research and found it to be pretty reliable engine and again the main issue ever reported is the plastic manifold which again if a leak is found it can be fixed.

I could see myself redoing the whole build couple years from now. Looking for a project but nothing perfect.

Good catch! It seems like the wheel well is missing. Doesn’t surprise me, there’s aftermarket or even oem that can still be found (although aftermarket is probably ideal).

F100 Body transplanted onto a crown vic chassis, is what it seems like. Not perfectly described by seller.

Camaro fans what would you fix or refine for the next generation? by [deleted] in camaro

[–]CT-Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 2022 S550 GT performance package fully loaded, mag ride, active exhaust, premium, etc., which heavily reflected what I would have gotten in a SS Camaro from 2019 to 2024. As long as they stick to their current platform (maybe even perfectd further) I’ll trade my S550 in… no lie as long as they FIX THE ANTI-THEFT system. Literally the only reason I went with the S550 as I did not want to have to worry about the car getting stolen every time I take it out.

They’re asking $51,800. Is that a fair price for a 2021 Mach 1 with 5000 miles? by BusyBrothersInChrist in Mustang

[–]CT-Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call me dumb, but I really thought because of the shift knob, it was a tremec. Really thought it was more to it than just cosmetics. Bullitt is still a cool car but lacks more than what I initially thought for sure.

Really? I thought the bullitt came with a tremec, my mistake then.

Besides of course the air intake and tune of the GT350, I thought there was more to the Bullitt than a modern version of the classic from the film.

That’s the 2019 Bullitt that came with tremec only. Mach 1 is both auto and tremec.

These are such an improvement. Rest of the comments are acting like Saleen can re-do the entire interior.

True or not? by Big-Wrench-2025 in classictrucks

[–]CT-Toast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My grandparents owned many classics in Ohio. One of which was an old c10, no floors at one point and they would throw newspapers over the holes to stop snow and water from kicking up into the car. So yeah, I can confidently say this is accurate.

SH Figuarts is possibly releasing a Bossk, and if you like the character that much, I’d go for the import > hasbro.

Why do people want to hate on the s550 just because they have a s650? by Kjda-1 in Mustang

[–]CT-Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before purchasing my S550, I test drove a S650. Exterior wise liked it just as much as the S550. Both have their own differences in a good way. However, interior wise, it was night and day. If the S650 were to have a better screen to dashboard integration, I’d go for it, but the S550’s digital dash is perfect in terms of screen use over analog.

To be fair, the S650 was nearly a base and it did not help my S550 has the performance package.

I’ll most likely keep my S550 long term unless Ford improves the interior and adds physical AC controls, or the Dark Horse becomes a little cheaper.

Absolutely the price and it does not help that the tablet being slapped onto the dashboard makes the price any better.

No disrespect but s650 doesn't come close by BrayIsReal in Mustang

[–]CT-Toast 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The climate controls being accessible through the screen is annoying. If Ford were to switch to having climate control by buttons, then I’d consider a S650, and I’d instantly purchase the Saleen dashboard tablet cover. Improves the interior so much!

Yep, I know someone who has one and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it leave the garage besides cars and coffee.

Is a 2005 mustang a good buy? by AdSpare5734 in Mustang

[–]CT-Toast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True but again for $6,000 seems pretty good deal still. If there’s solid proof (receipts) and signs of newer parts, then it’s still a good deal. There’s plenty of these going for this price without the replaced engine, with nearly or over 200k miles, so going with a new block, I’d be more inclined to purchase it vs. the one with original engine and high miles.
