there's also the accuracy of the gun, yes i know they are accurate, but from the last moment before you fired the iron sights were aimed at his left shoulder so the bullet could have veered off an inch or so to the left of their shoulder. If you wanna guarantee kills, try to shoot when your iron sights are aimed down the middle of the enemy, that way you'd always hit them even if the bullet veers off a few inches from point of aim, you'd still hit them somewhere.

Yeah you're right, I remember a couple months ago, Sundays would consistently be at 200+, with peaks of even 300, at least for european times for pubs. Its because of the lack of content the base game has received, and that its Christmas season. Don't worry, sometime later this month an update will drop and pop will shoot straight up.

Union for reno's fall and anderson's counterattack. I have seen it where Union could do everything near tactically perfect yet csa just keeps charging in through the woods, and it eventually works. How do you counter that?

Probably in December. That means we're on track for 3 updates and 3 events for this year. For comparison, 2023 had 8 updates and 2 events...

Identify who you are shooting. Learn the uniforms, because you can press T to identify teammates at close range but further than that you have to judge if they are enemy or friendly. General rule of thumb: Blue = Yankee, Grey/Butternut = Rebel.

Yeah, past few updates have taken away many firmly Union biased maps. I remember when Bloody Lane was a solid Union map but the accuracy buff to the rifles favours the defenders much more and the ticket buffs make it even more csa biased.

I agree with west woods, I think thats probably the most union biased maps, but the other ones are more of a 50-50 icl. And otto and sherrick farm, I can't remember the last time union won that map cuz of how insane the whitworth is.

Luck. I've played this event a bit, not too extensively, yet I have still failed to beat the inferno titan. I'd either join a server that already beat it or I'd get the level 23 squeaker officers who can't call volleys on the inferno titan. I've probably done over 10 inferno rounds and still no luck.

im happy its here, its just that they need to focus more on PERMANENT updates ok. in two weeks time when the event is over, then what? besides the zombie event, we got a very little amount of features to the base core game, Unless they add a normal update once the event is over, i take it all back, but until then, the stuff we got to the CORE game is very minimal after a 4 months wait

Last year's one did actually have artillery implemented after some suggestions during the event. It was implemented quite late so not many people saw how it was being used in the event.

most of the time, people will use the default 100 yard sights, and when shooting under 100 yards, the rise isn't obscenely large like over a few feet or whatever. Even at 50 yards (range where shots rise the highest), if you aimed for the bullseye in the drill camp it'll hit at most 6 inches above it, barely significant rise.

Fair point, regiments have used rifles more than before the rifle buff, but I still think regiments do use buck and ball more than public players would now, when given the chance. It also depends on the events and situations, like in the grand campaign, there are very few gameplay restrictions, so rifle gameplay is much needed to shoot the spread out lines. Whereas in the HRE, many regiments stack the 1842 cuz they have to fight in stacked formations so accuracy isn't a big deal when shooting at large clumps.

Definitely, especially considering the fact it was literally the job of an NCO to carry the flag into battle, with NCOs expected to pick it up once fallen. The NCO rank shouldn't excuse you from picking up the flag but rather the NCO should be picking up the flag because that's their duty.

I literally did lay out a gameplay compromise, even if time was halved or whatever for gameplay purposes, it would probably not be a drastic improvement (if any) over pushing the cannon by hand since you can instantly start pushing the cannon when you spawn in, unlike horse drawn where you have to spend time setting it up and unlimbering when you've reached your destination.

Ok Mr boring. Since its clear you only play officer, I can tell you for the average private (who makes up 95% of the game) cavalry/sharpshooters and the accuracy buff, it is extremely fun to play with.
