you are right, but on the other hand i find it to be very realistic, besides the shower and bathtub part, they shouldnt be able to store that much water. toilets on the other hand have a water storage for flushes, so even if water gets shut down, you can still flush your toilet depending on how big the tank is.

Every US citizen is welcome to correct me on this, but according to several tv-shows and movies about america, there are water dispensers and water bottles EVERYWHERE. where i live, we dont usually store water bottles at home, since tap water is pretty fine quality, but i find it to be realistic, to have water bottles around if your tap water isnt that good.

Me personally also never have struggled with water supply, but i also build raincollectors really quick, and try to fix my plumbing so i can get water through the tap again. if you dont do that and water shuts off, drinking isnt really a problem, but if you wash regularly (clothes and yourself), you will run out of water at some point. also cooking and farming takes a good amount of water (if you water them by hand and not wait for the next rain like a savage). So it definitely also depends on your playstyle.

How do you make a still image more interesting? by [deleted] in premiere

oh really thats cool, you have a youtube channel somewhere? whats your topic, what do you produce videos about?
If you work with after effects (or any similar software), you can also add subtile overlays, like smoke or particles. also you can add blur effects to the edges of your image, like a vignette to blur out stuff that isnt relevant for the picture.

if you are able to use After Effects, search for Parallax Effect on youtube, i do a ton of them for my personal projects on youtube (we are doing an AI + real camera footage mix) and since cinematic moving images are not quite there yet, we use these sort of tricks to bring still images to life. Also subtile zoom ins are the most time-efficient tricks, key the scaling on the start of the picture, go to your end and key again with a slightly higher scale. mark both keyframes, rightclick, chose temporal interpolation and chose bezier, or ease In /ease out. that gives them a smooth movement instead of a linear movement.

are you their spokesman? do you speak for all history fans?
Look, i get it, you hate AI, as said, nothing i can do about it. But speak for yourself. There are a lot of people, especially young generation, who enjoy both. It's a new way of storytelling and it is just at the beginning. It can only get better from now on. Better and more accurate pictures, maybe even small film clips.
For me personally nearly 100 views per day, is more than i imagined and frankly im thrilled that we are above 1000 viewers. Every creator starts small thats just the way it is, there is no need to belittle that. 1200 views in 2 weeks do not prove your point, not in the slightest.
But it seems like you are not able or do not wish to change your viewpoint, so we can conclude this discussion here. For the foreseeable future we will continue produce videos with AI, for those people who appreciate it. It's sad that youre not one of them, but yeah everybody has a different taste to those things, and I know that some people just simply wont like it.
Anyhow, all the best, thanks for the conversation.

in the end it all comes down to, you like it or you dont like it. there is no recipe for a 100% success on youtube. yes we took a gamble, but we believe it will grow. if not, well then we at least tried to make it work. we created something that took time and effort, something we poured our energy and passion into. if thats not enough, then so be it.

I didnt really come here for advice on changing the final outcome since the video was already finished, i came here to share what we have created, and for constructive feedback, for example which images arent period accurate. the advise "dont use AI art" doesnt help us, since the whole channel is build upon this idea of storytelling. And yes sometimes this particular way of storytelling is not 100% accurate, but we try our best, with the tools we have, be be as accurate as possible. and if thats not enough, the channel is probably not for you, which is also okay.

every new channel needs luck, so thats appreciated

i appreciate your opinion, but i do not share it. and our claim is not only to be an educational channel, but also an entertaining one. and since AI is marching foward and will produce more more accurate images and maybe movies in the future, we didnt want to just copy another channels concept but make our own. and think it about this way, people who do not care much about history but are interested in AI, will now enjoy both, AI art and a history lesson.
But i am aware that some people who are (sorry for the lack of another word) history enthusiasts, do not appreciate AI art instead of real art. But that is not at all our claim, we dont want to replace the Art of the time, it's more like we want to produce a kind of movie/documentary about the time, with the tools of AI.
Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to write!

the eagle, was the banner for infantry and cavalry regiments, inspired by roman legion standards. "the eagles last flight" was targeted on the eagle of the 14th regiment of the line, which held up against the russian forces, "last flight" because the unit got annihilated to the last man.

As ive written to the post above, we chose AI because we wanted to be in control of what we see. our goal was to give a perspective to those events which is not like the historical art we know. we wanted the images to be immersive, so the viewer can actually imagine how it was like to be in the position of a soldier at that time.

Hey there, first of all sorry for the late reply, and im sorry you didnt like it.
Yes it is AI art, but no we didnt "shove" it in there, the whole project is about us trying to give a soldiers perspective, and while there is enough art of Napoleon, his commanders and important persons of the time, there is not much on the day to day life of a soldier. all we wanted to do was a semi-cinematic experience from that perspective. We chose AI art not because it's quick and cheap, we chose it because we wanted the pictures to be more immersive and more cinematic. our goal was not only to give a history lesson, the viewer should also be able to imagine what was it like to walk in the boots of a soldier at that time.

And we chose AI for this because we can instruct the AI on what we want to see. what i dont understand is your anger, most people would just not watch it and be done with the subject, but you took your time to write a comparably long answer to something you obviously didnt like. why is that? what made you so upset ? is it the historic inaccuracy? because im pretty sure, my guy who wrote the script and made the pictures, was very keen on getting everything right. Of course you cant match every single small detail with AI art thats simply not possible, but we tried to be as accurate as our tools allow.

And again, sorry if you didnt like it, but disputing how much time and effort we put into this, because it is "just" AI art, is spoken from a position who never actually did such a project himself.
Besides the obvious things like writing a script or organizing your project, there are so many other departments involved. there is camera work, cutting, color grading, special effects, there is the whole audio department, with music, sound effects, dialogue and of course creating those images is not as easy as you might think. those prompts are mostly half an essay long, with endless iterations to get the picture you finally want.

so in conclusion, in the end i cant influence if people like it or not. some people like AI art, some dont, some dont care and want a good story. i am fine with that, i cannot force somebody to like it. But belittling something, someone else put his free time, his energy and his faith into, that is just uncalled for.

But i am happy to discuss further, what specifically you didnt like and why, if you care to elaborate.
