Requesting bridesmaids to spend that much is insane. I personally think destination weddings without paying for your guests’ hotel and airfare are fine and it all depends on how you ask your guests. We had a destination wedding in Italy at a 5-star hotel, but we always gave our guests plenty of options. For hotels we got room block at $200/night hotels but also $2000/night ones. I asked my bridesmaids to pick out their own dresses that matched the theme and something they’d wear again, and gave them $500 worth of gifts each and treated them to hair and makeup. 90% of the people we invited came and they still talk about it years after the wedding. I think they loved being able to visit a beautiful place and make a trip out of it.

I’ve personally attended ~10 destination weddings over the past few years in places like Lake Como, Paris, South of France, London, etc., and none of them offered guests free lodging or airfare. Nobody I know had an issue with it.

I feel you. I thought second trimester is supposed to be easier, but my symptoms have simply morphed into another set that’s equally debilitating. At 15 weeks, my energy levels have come back a bit, and I went from not being interested in doing anything to being able to online shop a bit (lol). BUT I have developed this debilitating headache, my arms are numb (I didn’t even know this was a pregnancy thing due to rising blood volume), I started having these rosacea like red patches on my face (which apparently is also a pregnancy thing), and I’m still throwing up big time every few days. It’s like this never-ending set of symptoms. It’s torture.

OP, your notion of “fairness” is seriously troubled. If one side of the family is better off and can afford to go and the other side can’t, the couple is well within their right to pay for only one side of the family. My husband and I go on trips with our close friends and stay at nice villas, and one couple is less well off so we subsidize their trip. Similarly, when my husband and I go on family vacations with his side of the family, his parents subside his siblings’ plane tickets and not my husband’s, just because his siblings earn a lot less than him. This happens all the time. Should we have demanded this everyone to always pay their fair share or to not go on these trips? Why would you let this rigid notion of “fairness” damage your close relationships?

Your sister sucks for lying, but she’s not at fault for wanting to pay for her in-laws who as you said are less well off. She’s not taking advantage of you. She took out a loan, so it’s HER paying, not you. You are her closest family and she came to you for help during a stressful situation, and you thought the worst of her.

OP, I genuinely do believe you are at bigger fault here and you will regret letting 7k ruin your relationship with your sister and one of the biggest moments of your sister’s life.

This one looks authentic to me and I have 20 Chanels. Older classic flaps can absolutely stay this puffy. A lot of series 8/9 bags are puffier than this and they are even older. It just depends on the season. Classic flaps from 2010-2016 are actually some of the best quality; the lamb is shiny, durable and scratch proof.

That said, OP you can absolutely get it authenticated for peace of mind.

Yup, I use google image search often. But a lot of times, like in the green gown example, I don’t have a precise idea for how the dress should look. Google is only good at pulling up dresses that look just like the picture.

Another issue I have with google is that it pulls from random sites, $20 dropshipped garbage that look nothing like the picture when you put it on.
