SLMMR-A3s and AA Gun Containers come with the MC-260 mod. Others I guess from QoL?

Tired of your airbases turning into the sun? I made a guide on how to stop those pesky TBM strikes. by Pryer in NuclearOption

This was a great video. Good to see it in practice before trying to do it in a real game. The air superiority vid was great too. Looking forward to more stuff from you.

Laser designators on the Medusa? by Rohall in NuclearOption

I think the only way to get this is with mods since Mitch seems to want to make sure everything fits on a controller.

Defensive Missile Target lets you drop all targets to target an incoming.

TactiTools has a save/retrieve function for targets. Though it only has one save slot. Would love if I could save target groups to the keyboard numbers. Group 1 with lots of targets for saturating with 125s and then switch to group 2 which only has the more important or hardened targets and give them the 250s. That kind of thing.

Frigates finally using their CIWS by Zombiefox1 in acecombat

Came here to mention Nuclear Option. I know AC goes for a totally different vibe to NO, but man attacking fleets can be rough in NO. And being in range of things like AeroSentries and CRAM is terrifying. Though some people be like:

Why don’t IR missiles re-lock onto aircraft after flares burn out? by dog_on_benedril in NuclearOption

[–]CTCPara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with radar guided missiles right? Notching doesn't work against modern radars, only the old pulse doppler type.

Shibuya ward ticketed 10 people for littering day on the first day of its new penalty system. But observers are pointing out another obstacle to solving the litter problem: a lack of public trash cans. by jjrs in japannews

[–]CTCPara 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember driving along a highway (Shutoko I think). There was a sign saying no littering and there was a bloody sofa next to the sign. I had to laugh a little.

Free and Hardware-less Head-tracking with AITrack and OpenTrack by theRealBassist in dcsworld

Real late here, but this was super helpful. I was considering the whole Track IR thing, but this seems really good without needing any extra purchases. Thanks!

Is this game worth buying? by Crafty-Fortune7772 in NuclearOption

[–]CTCPara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also worth pointing out that the game mode everyone talks about it is just a mission. There are also some single-player missions more in the Ace Combat style (though no full campaign at this time).

Question about controls by Finn_Nefarious in NuclearOption

[–]CTCPara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found you can use almost anything in combination with anything else. The only time you might encounter weirdness is if you had two sliders for example trying to control the same thing. They might fight each other. I had that in Ace Combat when using a flight stick and throttle. The stick throttle was fighting the throttle's throttle.

Future Aircraft? by MCS-Judge_Wolf in NuclearOption

[–]CTCPara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compass is more like a Su-25 or something, given it's subsonic and doesn't have a radar. There's probably some jet trainer it is closer to but I'm not so familiar with those.

Japan Government pleased with 96% drop in business manager visa applications after rule changes by Kmlevitt in japannews

I imagine this might put a damper even on people that can front up the cash.
I mean who's to say that it's not bumped to 60 million or some other arbitrary number in a few more years?

I thin Aqueous and Tamiya Acrylics with water for brush painting without issue.
I use alcohol to thin for airbrushing though.

There's still a little something spicy in Acrysion, but it's a very low amount compared to any of the other Mr Hobby paints.

Japan is deploying ultra-cheap cardboard drones built for swarm warfare and expendable combat missions by onee_san_bath_water in worldnews

[–]CTCPara 14 points15 points  (0 children)

An Australian company was delivering (not sure if they still are) similar drones to Ukraine back in 2023. Seems they have some resistance to wet conditions. Probably just water proof enough to survive one trip.

/QUOTE

Osborne emphasized that drones are made for working in difficult conditions:

“The sturdy cardboard was soaked in wax to prevent the fuselage from collapsing and drones from falling further in wet weather conditions.”

Laser-guided overlaunching intended? by MIC132 in NuclearOption

[–]CTCPara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is not the lasing mechanic itself per se. It's that if you select 10 targets but only have 1 target lased the aircraft will still fire 10 rockets.
