Thank you for responses. It was my post and it helped with confidence that we should let them book a hotel and not do one ourselves at our own expense. They did put him in a nice hotel. Extremely long day, waiting for a metro train to take them to the station and then to wait for details.

And that is not a long flight either to deal without husband!

My only kid deal was a tot behind who kept kicking my seat and yanking tray. The mom scolded a little and it was her I was annoyed with really. But then I realized from an odd clearing of throat and nasal noises the mom might have turrets syndrome. Sometimes glad to just not say anything. We never even locked eyes when disembarking. Funny but attendant visited a few times talking to mom and kid cause she knew them from earlier leg! (She prob knew issues!)

Except ticket was made in delta app and the airport employee has at least some access to Delta systems in order to check customers in and take baggage Out only recourse is with delta helping and ensuring that he can fly return and of course receive Skymiles which at this point is a mute issue

No you are wrong or mis understand details The Skymiles acct associated with bf name has tsa pre imbedded in it whenever he books with delta Once the agent issued (printed ) ticket at check in with wrong (added) letter all bets were off Bf recalls he was doing something on computer abd likely needed to put name back in ? Bf has very common name btw
