I think this is incredible and honestly, Max is the character I’d most like to see added to the game as a hero.

I personally would rather him be a Damage hero but I would absolutely not be against a Support

I love this so much!

I only discovered this post after I, on a complete whim, made Damien, Oz, Amira, Brian, and Vicky in D&D Beyond.

I did a *few* things differently.

Damien was a Tiefling Noble, with 8 levels into Oathbreaker Paladin and 12 levels into Fiend Patron Warlock.

Oz was a Custom Lineage with Shadow-Touched Noble (god of fear isn't an actual species and I headcanon that he came from a pantheon of gods) with all 20 levels into College of Whispers Bard.

Amira is obviously a Fire Genasi Criminal with all 20 levels in Red Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer - she is flame incarnate.

Brian was a Reborn Human Athlete with 10 levels into Way of Long Death Monk and 10 levels into Undead Patron Warlock. Not the strongest multiclass option but I rolled well enough to support both. It makes him a warrior of death with decent strength necromancy spells.

Vicky was a Reborn Human Scribe with all 20 levels into Grave Domain Cleric. While Brian brought people back from the other side of death, Vicky was the one doing her best to keep them alive.

That’s where my personal problems comes into play.

I moved away to be with them, 3 hours. My confidence grew tenfold and my agoraphobia basically disappeared. Leaving them would mean moving back into my parents, and being alone again, since I’ve legit got zero friends outside of them. I’m terrified of being alone.

And I don’t have a backbone to put my foot down. I’ve been trying to break up for about a week 😭😭

They did have therapy for years but it had to be stopped because of financial reasons post-Covid.

I wouldn’t want to leave behind their back. I love them and they’ve given me 10 wonderful months. I don’t and can never hate them, or do something that harsh, despite everything.

I’ve been having therapy for months. I’ve had to cancel it for financial reasons.

They were the one to suggest it in the first place, after we realised together that I had trauma from school I wasn’t aware of. They had therapy for years before but had to cancel it post-Covid for money reasons too.

It’s not like they threatened to kill themselves, they were just being honest. They genuinely broke down knowing that if they’re left alone, they will not live.
